  1. The fish will begin to suffer with the high temps as well - I have seen an aerator in use in the past- is there one on site now ?
  2. I will take my leave - I merely bumped this to raise the issue for anyone buying a car to bear in mind how it impact the area and their potential purchase. I did gently suggest you might want to reconsider resurrecting your ill founded and risible tack, but I am an optimist. That is my only failing
  3. it come as a surprise to the enlightened on here, but cars are not always just a utility to go to the shops or nursery. critical thinking & abstract conceptualisation can be useful tools. or maybe not.
  4. Now you mention it, Ed Sheeran perfectly sums up ED. I see no reason why the entire LL area should not be decked out with cheap tatty banners bearing grossly pixelated images of Edward.
  5. report it and ensure it is logged. at the very least it will show up in the numbers next time reported criems come around
  6. you have agency, i can only suggest that retracing the spats of yore will not end in satisfaction for anyone.

  8. lets not get into this chuckle brother to me/ to you death match please. it belittles whatever considered position you hold. I resurrected this moribund and deservedly expired thread only to remind people that you need to ensure the implications of a new/different car acquisition are fully understood.
  9. and no, before the usual suspects start, this is not a green light to google your way to an internetz victory.
  10. internetz fury aside, if you are looking at buying a vehicle in the near future & expect to live in ED/ Environs, make sure you check it is ULEZ compliant, else you may find it costing more than you considered. There are going to be a lot of vulgar 4x4s that are going to be utterly toxic and unsellable in London soon - don't get caught out if you intend splurging on new wheels. Obviously this is a tax that is disproportionately impacting the poor, but this is London, cleaning out of the poor is a way of life.

  12. I would move away from reading schemes and start on real books - more fun and interesting and less like school work.
  13. madness
  14. it is now officially midsummer
  15. of course his supporters will not back down, even in the face of overwhelming evidence as to the unsuitability of this chump to lad a nation. The global gammonati community are not for turning, even when it is to their own clan and community detriment. A cynic would allude that the gammon rank and file are furious because they are unwilling to admit that their whole lives have been a hollow sham of appropriation and material gain, to the detriment of all else. Mammon is no comfort when you realise that throughout your whole life, you have mercilessly taken advantage of and paid off with a few baubles and an moral overdraft you cannot ever hope to pay back. I is heartening/ disheartening / meh to see the internet savvy gammon hordes on soshal meeja clamouring for a civil war & blood on the streets to defend *non specific and curiously intangible* principle & invoking the memories of the dead to justify ..erm... more violence.
  16. I will retire from this thread now as it has reached peak torpor- this isn't about the art, the bridge, shopkeepers, creatives, vibrancy or whatever else has been bundled into the discussion to bulk it out. some critical thinking on the themes being raised here may not go amiss. PS the forest hill logo is a retro delight. /
  17. Trump is a master communicator and lord of his own manor here - it is impossible to pin him down- the WH press crew struggle to keep up with him- and that's where the mastery shows. Whether it is planned or just the action of a shambolic deflector is the next question- and that is a distraction we cannot spend time on I am not comfortable with bandying pejorative fascism around though. All *democratic* structures will penalise those who cannot fight back easily, it is just trump will not be drawn into a fireside chat on these tactics . He is a bully,an ignorant and self serving egotist yes, but fascist, no.
  18. dismissive, misleading, patronising and paternalistic missives are the issue here, not a bland piece of corporate approved art for " the community", But you know this already. No one is arguing for the preservation of the extant dank bridge environment.
  19. I fail to see how your counter point about this not being about shops is in any way valid. banners will not benefit the community, it is duplicitous to suggest this is in any way about the community and residents. I have neither love nor hate for retail outlets, I am ambivalent. At last be honest about what this is about & you may find that the community you purport to represent and care about are aware of the drivers behind this.
  20. evasive and passive aggressive win win
  21. Ah yes, the Lion - now there is a story that will just not go away, despite the never ending diligent work of the plod to do so

After all , they are working to benefit us, so it would be good to see who these people are and what their motivation is (obviously it is entirely selfless) /
