  1. I suffered badly for years, a day off school each month, vomiting each day. Diagnosed with endometriosis at 25, had lazer treatment. Had pellet injections for 6 months which shut down my system, the less periods the less build up of the endometriosis. Then went on the pill, but advised to take 2 sometimes 3 packets back to back, again to limit the number of periods. Had a baby at 32, periods now, zero pain and fairly light and short. Though the odd one is heavy but no pain. Definetly go and see your doctor. A doctor once said to me pregnancy is a treatment for endometriosis!
  2. Hi. It seems that your little one needs the breast to get back to sleep. It's not hunger it's the association she's made. Like some babies get rocked, have a dummy, music playing, these are all things that the child associates with sleep. She needs to learn to go to sleep by herself, so then when she does wake in the night she will be able to settle herself back to sleep. Maybe introduce a new cuddly toy that is for sleep time only. Do you plan on stopping breast feeding completely?
  3. Toddler taming a def yes! Simple solutions, one I remember........"my toddler keeps taking chocolate from the fridge"......SOLUTION...don't keep your chocolate in the fridge! A really useful book, which also highlights normal toddler behaviour!
  4. Hi midivydale, very similar hey, my daughter is now 2yrs 7m. I only had the flashbacks around her first birthday, when she turned two I was ready for a repeat but nothing, a joyous time. I probably do think about my experience each day, mostly when I shower and see the scar! Cannot watch one born every minute, makes me feel sick! We are thinking about another and I have no worries about birth second time around. Don't think it could be much worse! Toss up between planned section or just going for it. I would say it does get easier especially as you say you have a truly amazing boy! Added to my experience, pre baby I was a competitive swimmer, world level, and following the section I have been unable to swim in the same way, butterfly as you can imagine is not the same. I think I struggled to cope with my swimming career being over, I tried 3 times to get back into it but its definetly over! I have accepted that that was before and the now is now! I wouldn't change what I have now. Xxx
  5. If there is something in the list of ingredients that I don't know, then I will not buy it.....what is fructo-oligsaccharides for example, most likely a sugar of some sort! That is listed on a mini pack of nesquik chocolate cereal left over from a multi pack of cereals which we bought for camping last summer! Hubby will eat them! I try and buy food which hasn't been handled too often......birds eye fish fingers, as lovely as they are have been handled a lot to get to what they are. I buy fillets off the fish counter, and make breadcrumbs, hey presto a fish finger! I prefer to bake cake and biscuits than buy them for the same reasons. They don't last as long of course! I look forward to following this thread......
  6. Hi Gooders, I had horrific flash backs on my daughters first birthday!! I was crying hysterically and remembered tiny details about my delivery experience! Basically, laboured for 26 hrs, fully dilated, pushedfor 45 mins, blood samples taken from baby's head whilst she was in me, run to theatre, failed ventouse which resulted in torn labia ( apologies for detail here) and then an emergency c section!!! But yes I old do it all again, though would think a lot about wether to plan a section or just give it a go, baby had a very large head........then strep b which meant a week in hospital and antibiotics for a week for baby.....
  7. Our 2.5yr old has small handfuls of all cereals in our cupboard, so a crushed weetabix, handful of Cheerios, handful of crispies, and handful of shreddies! Yes it's a big bowl full! On occasion, with daddy, golden nuggets! But a very small handful! When she was younger she did get fussy, so we reversed breakfast, toast first, then cereal or fruit first then cereal. And at times we didn't feed her straight away, let h play for half hour then feed her. Are you giving her a milk feed first thing or straight into breakfast?
  8. Citroen Picasso, isn't too much of an MPV, I have had 3 in the back of a ford Mondeo, is a squeeze but they do all fit. Toddler in the middle was easiest. The old style vauxhall meriva has 3 proper seats in the back. Good luck
  9. Maybe put a plaster on it or you can buy spray on plaster, maybe harder to pick off??
  10. I have done slimming world in the past. It is very easy and there is so much that you don't have to count, all fruit and veg, all meat (grilled or baked etc in fry light spray) all potatoes, pasta and rice is totally free! All you have to count is bread and dairy! And all miller light yogurts are free too!! Dont know how it works but it works! i used to save my 'sins' and have a large glass of wine at the end of the day!! Good luck!!!
  11. Hi I can recommend klassymagic!!! Excellent website too!!! Super magic and a fantastic entertainer!!!
  12. Hi, I agree with pebbles. The main thing is if he's ok being away from you! A few years ago they used to do the assessment on a one to one, asking the child to follow instructions, understanding of next to, under etc. Yet now all the children are in the hall together and I think it's more of an observation to see how they interact AND what they choose to do! But it is all behind closed doors!
  13. Possible sore throat? Maybe even teething? Ear ache can radiate into your jaw?
  14. Hi. Took 3 months with number one, now aged 2yrs 5m, been trying now for 20 months! Doctor offered blood tests for me, would need sample from hubby, but I found the whole doctor chat too emotional, so have decided to let nature decide! And yes, very happy with our little one x
  15. Nice idea daisymaisy but if she then sleeps on the floor I'll have to get rid of her bed, then she'd have to sleep on the floor! Going to put her old cot mattress on the floor tonight with duvet etc! She woke at 4.30am asking to go back on the floor (I'd put her into bed at 9pm, once she'd been snoring since 7.30pm!) and she slept till 6.30 am! Cheers x
  16. Hi bumpy, tried stickers, tried offers of ice cream! She just says, "I sleep on the floor" in a really sheepish voice! Redjam, yes we happy with her sleeping all night on the floor as opposed to yelling in the night!!! She seems to like it, and yes kids are weird! Cheers all x
  17. Have you tried limiting drinks, last drink at tea time? Could she be allergic/irritated by the nappy, possible to look at a more natural nappy? Or when you lift her for the toilet, change her nappy?? You say she doesnt wee much during the day, maybe she needs more fluid to flush her system? Hope she gets well soon x
  18. She's been in the bed since early september, the floor sleeping only started this week! hopefully she'll prefer her bed soon! Especially as it starts to get a bit chilly! Thanks x
  19. Sounds like an idea, she's in a toddler bed but I still have the cot mattress so could use that. Cheers.
  20. Well after a week of ignoring our dear 2yr old who yelled at the gate on her door at bedtime, she now gets herself comfy with a blanket and curls up next to the gate and goes to sleep! Yelling time gone from 90 mins on night 1, down to 45 mins on night 2 then to 20mins then 10mins and tonight all of 2 minutes! I put her into bed after about an hour and half. Then later in the early hours, around 2am she wakes and yells and again goes back to sleep on the floor, night yelling gone from 3 hours, to 90 mins to just a half hour last night (at3.30am)!!! When we put in earplugs and go back to sleep! My question is do I leave her on the floor all night?? She slept there happily from 3.30 am -6.30am when I got up to shower. I don't want advice on putting her in bed as to ignoring as we DID try this and she got more and more worked up each time, yet with the yelling it's just a dull moan! Thanks X
  21. Change the bread too! Pitta bread, bagel, rolls, even a cheese scone? Maybe cold pasta and sauce now and then. Crackers with ham? Would she eat cold rice with veg and shredded chicken?
  22. If you can put his seat in the middle, keep him looking outside. Looking at books and toys causes the sickness. I can't sit in the back of car, I always feel sick!
