  1. So - bumping this thread as I thought the decision was mid to late February - any news?
  2. I'm afraid to say we won again - a few more teams this time so the winnings are mounting up. I'll keep posting here until some quizmasters turn up and we get beat... Will post the next date we will be turning up shortly...
  3. no no (at least I don't think so) yes - toasties don't know - no Are you going to take part in the quiz Alan?
  4. so from that response - it looks like it'll be another simple win for us...

  6. apologies but a chest infection has kept me away from the EDF (and Hoopers Quiz) for the last week. Will let you know our next planned outing...
  7. If Ireland beat the welsh this weekend (as I expect to happen) the tournament should be set for a cracking final weekend with four sides level on points...
  8. Do you think you achieve as high a price through somewhere like property broker though?
  9. Did Nero break the law or did they just utilise a loophole?
  10. Nowhere beats Wendalls kabanos!

We cannot afford to > entice more motorcycles into London or other > cities by allowing them into bus lanes." Motorcyclists kill pedestrians!? In my experience I've been more at risk of them killing me as they amble across the road listening to their ipods and paying no attention to filtering traffic.
  12. I hope all the people posting there anti-cpz comments on here filled out the survey stating they didn't want the CPZ? I did, but am slightly worried the council might get an invalid view of what people want if we don't bother to fill this kind of stuff in. If we all say no on the survey then it's nicely nipped in the bud and no more of our tax money gets wasted on "investigating" how to charge us money to park near our homes.
  13. Didn't Nero just make use of flaws in the current planning system. Whilst this may be pretty cynical of them as a company maybe the council should look at the bigger picture and work out how it's possible for this situation to be arrived at in the first place. Companies always have and will continue to stretch the rules to the limit to turn a profit and whilst "corporate social responsibility" is the new buzzword, don't imagine that companies embark on any of these initiatives without a view as to how it will affect their profits. At the end of the day they have to answer to shareholders and are responsible for getting their shareholders a good return. Isn't far to much anger is being directed at Nero here when really we should be questioning the ridiculous planning process that can lead to this? p.s. Had a lovely Mocha there at the weekend :)

Make sure you post here when you're going and I'll try and get my team there. We are the Hoopers International Quiz Champions 2 times running which sounds about comparable :)
  15. Questions range for very easy to ridiculously hard... Not many people competing at present hence my post to try and get some competition down :)
  16. Do you know what grounds they are rejecting it on? In my experience bikers currently use all bus lanes anyhow with no issues (except those with cameras :))
