I like others here, feel that there was almost a sad inevitability about this. What makes me really sad is that the people of this nation will almost certainly suffer as a result, or will be needlessly killed. Things like this make we ashamed to be part of the human race. May our gods help us all.

Dear Lady Annasfield, as I said in a previous posting we are all entitled to our opinions. If we don't see eye to eye, .....well hey....life's like that. It'd be pretty boring if all thought the same, liked the same things, and so on. What goes around comes around. It'll be my turn to take the piss out of others just in the same way I've had the piss taken out of me this time 'round. Things like that make life fun. :)

Dear lady Annasfield, in response to you non pissing taking, non goading, question, I think we have a very good chance of winning it. I realy think Manure are too reliant on the show pony Ronaldo, who hasn't played well against us, Pool, or any of the top 4 for that matter. Like I said 19 games to go, only half of the season gone. I do fancy our chances. You know what, I wonder if SimonM was so confident of his 4 goal margin, that he put a bet on it. Be honest now SimonM, did you back up your prediction with a cheeky punt?

I see pool managed to beat the mighty Derby with a fearsome display ( or should that be a flukely lte goal off of SG's shin?) Poor performance from the mighty Arse, but still another 19 games to go. Watching the West Ham game in the Magdala yesterday afternoon, as I hadn't been in there for many, many years. I was hugely dsappointed. The interior decor is sterile beyond belief. I digress, as I was watching the game, a couple who had a babe in arms and a toddler with them, they allowed said toddler to pick up the candles in the firplace and drop them a few times, to which the dad could just about bring himself to say anything to the child that what he was doing was wrong. And the mother was breast feeding the baby in full view of the whole bar. Now, I,m not a prude and I understand it may be totally natural, but so is urinating and crapping, and you don't see people doing that in full view of punters drinking in a boozer. On the upside the Lodon Pride was good and the bar staff seemed friendly enough. I shall continue to ridicule overly optimistic scores as and whe the need arises, even if they include those Pool supporters, who seem to take some perverse pride in trying to slag off Wenger, who spends a fraction of the amount Rafa spends and has his players playing in way that all other clubs envy. And please don't tell me Rafa never complains because he does. Still I'm sure you're looking forward to playing Inter. Come on you gooners!!!!!:))

I'm sure normal service for Spuds will be resumed not too far in the near future. I' sure all Spuds fans are delighted now old Lead boots King is back. No doubt he wiil revive their hopes of a top 4 finish. As for winning by a 4 goal margin, let Spuds make hay while the sun shines. We at the Arse are used to our side producing such performances season after season. >:D<

'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.' Bill Shankly

You seem to be implying that a goal keepers skill is in some way inferior to that of a penalty taker. As someone who still plays( or tries to at 50 years of age), and has a son who can play as an outfield player or in goal, I can assure you that it is not. As a penalty taker you have to outwit the keeper by scoring. Keane failed to to do so. That is not being smug, but a plain and simple fact.

Truth hurts.

Peace, health & happiness to you all. May your god go with you in 2008.

And we're still top of the league. Something Spuds will not experience for many moons. Two class goals from a class team. >:D<

Wenger certainly didn't say we were second best because we weren't, as for being lucky, it takes skill to save a penalty and skill to take one. I'll leave you to decide which of the sides were better at the two skills. ;-)

A good giggle Hitler: Spuds 1 - Arsenal 3

Good teams make their own luck, Spuds put everyone behind the ball and defended as if their lives depended on it. Saving a penalty takes far more than just luck. Let's see how good they are over two legs in the Worthless cup.;-)

Once again, the Arse turn over the Spuds ( a top 4 side......well they think, they are) Never mind, there's always next season, or the season after, or the season after that, or...............................

Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > And Arsenal fans wonder why people like to see > them get beat! ;-) Truth hurts. And I believe an ageing AC side is no match for us.

Speaking the truth I call it, I really don't think we should fear anyone, and I mean anyone. Manure are a better team than AC and they couldn't beat us. So bring on the ageing AC Milan.
-
The way we are playing at the moment teams should be afraid of us and not the other way around. AC have only one outstanding player, namely KAKA, but on his own against the might of the Arse he has little chance to shine. Italian opposition have not done well against us over the years and that form will continue. AC haven't exactly set Serie A alight with Kaka this season so bring 'em on!!! If we stay injury free, AC will be fearing us, trust me.

AC Milan, come on!! On to the next round!!!

I'd want to speak to Medgar Evers and try to understand the courage behind such a truly heroic individual.

Cheers for your help guys. Much appreciated. I'd love to get hold of some DVDs of this show, but the masters were probably wiped years ago.
