  1. I'm happy with the Sundays result, but I thought Ade's goal was perfectly sound, but hey ho. I thought Eboue did the usual headless chicken impression (sort him out Arsene, for gods sake, he is the antithesis of everything we are trying to achieve. Her has a big heart, bit a small brain), and Terry was his usual brainless self. What else can you expect from a product of inbreeding? Pool's performance was strange, almost as if they were scared to play. Kuyt was way under par, as was Torres ( and not because, as Hansen would have us believe, Ferdinand was so good). Babel should have started, but live and learn Rafa. Pool better keep an eye on the toffees as they seem to be making progress without anyone making too much of it. Bring on Spuds for the early kick off next saturday.

So we should tip firemen, policemen, nurses, etc. all jobs many wouldn't want to do, all can be unpleasant, probably more unpleasant than the jobs done by the chaps on the dust. They do a job, which I agree isn't pleasant, but they knew what they were taking on when applying for the job.
  4. Has anyone mentioned the Water Margin yet, or an obscure series from the 60's called The Human Jungle starring Herbert Lom?

  15. Forward he cried from the rear and the front rank died. And the general sat and the lines on the map moved from side to side.

Keep 'em going, I loved being in them as a kid. What has this society come to when we have to ponder every single aspect of our lives for fear of "offending" another section of it.

Then again he is so up his own backside I'd expect nothing less than that from him. He kept banging on about the press picking up on Ronaldo's cheating (quite right to), and why do the media think they are a dirty team (Roy Keane admitting he purposely broke some ones leg might have something to do with it), and the thugs Scholes and Neville don't exactly enhance their image . The man is a complete merchant banker.
  20. Altough nothing was gained
  21. I don't think there is anything in my posting that says Marseille played poorly, are you feeling perhaps a tad paranoid? And Manure will be a bigger test than Marseille, I'd lays odds on it.
  22. Well done to the Pool last night. I think perhaps the Manure defence may prove a little more testing than the lovely boys in pink and blue. Nice!!!
  23. There is no dark side of the moon really....... as a matter of fact it's all dark
