I found it offensive.
  2. Lol, I am sure I spotted Xena in Pizza Express last weekend.
  3. Yep, UncleBen's comment is offensive, but he's an offensive little pr@&k anyway, so what else would you expect?
  4. How do you know the girls would need more protection than the boys? 5. Woody, you are a true master of words. You were able to be offensive about so many with so few.
  6. Petty? Wanting to know if someone in a parkie uniform has the authority to stop someone from enjoying themselves in the park, isn't petty, in my opinion. In the UK what isn't specifically prohibited is allowed, so why wouldn't I want to know if there was actually some form of law that gives the over-zealous park-keeper the right to tell people they can't use BBQs in the paek. I'm just waiting for someone with more time to waste than me, to go and do my research for me :-)
  7. UncleBen, you don't need notices to let people know that murder is prohibited, fairly well publicised and everyobe ekse seems to understand this without needing a notice. a ban on BBQs however, is not widely publicised and even the notices are barely noticeable. I'm interested to know if there is any bylaw prohibiting the use of BBQs, or whether the park/council have been putting up notices with no legal force again, as they did with the 'keep dogs on leads' notices.
  8. Ok,cold showers the lot of you!
  9. You guys are worse than me! I am multi-talented and have many other interests you know, including growing food in my garden. So now that we have cleared that up, anyone want any real life raspberries from my real life garden which have been grown in real soil and everything??
  10. Haha, lol. No euphemisms here, sorry :-)
  11. My raspberry bushes are heaving with raspberries and are producing them faster than I can eat them! If anyone wants to come and pick themselves a few few punnets of fresh, organically grown raspberries in exchange for something they've grown, send me a PM :-)
  12. Lol, some great suggestions there. I'm a tightwad, so liking the (cheap) food and drink items!
  13. I am about to go away for a week and my host is very much enamoured of all things British. So I thought I'd see what people think I might get that capture a little bit of Britain. I could only think of Marmite, Weetabix and cheddar cheese!
  14. Lols all round. Livened up a boring Sunday afternoon :-)
  15. Lol, Fabricio, maybe you're right, or maybe it's about women wanting to be in control and feeling intimidated by the quantity of messages sent to women on more explicit sites. If anyone does phone apps, I think you have a niche market for a Blendr type app, where men can't initiate contact other than sending a smoky to indicate interest. We can go shopping for the perfect Mr Right Now, without feeling swamped.
  16. A friend of mine is a massive fan of Grindr and told me about it's sister app, Blendr which was for straight people looking for the same kind of casual link ups as Grindr. I found it refreshing that there was an app (and eventually a site) that didn't treat everyone who was straight and single as someone who was looking for Mr Right and that some women are happy with Mr Right Now. From the beginning, Blendr, however was more conservative. Whereas in Grindr members can be explicit about what they were looking for, with Blendr they had to be more coded. Disappointing, but not the end if the world. I dipped in and out of Blendr and after about a 6 months absence decided to have another look. It's turned into bloody Beebo. Why? Grindr is still an app for gay casual link ups, why can't there be a straight version? It's totally crap. So, tell me, why are gay singles allowed to be more in yer face than straight singles? Thoughts anyone.
  17. Lol, no. I haven't had that particular treat yet but I look forward to it with anticipation :-)
  18. Little update. Since purchasing my pretty enormous and unmissable helmet cam, I've noticed a significant improvement in behaviour of motorists who see it atop my bonce, with it's little red 'filming' light on. It's been amazing. I still get arseholes zooming past me from behind an inch or so from my handlebars if they haven't clocked the camera, but even those incidents are less frequent than before. I may look like a tw@t with the camera on my head, but it's a fair trade-off :-)
  19. In your opinion. In my opinion the writing was clever and allowed an intelligent look at the complex issues of good and evil, the possibility of someone doing appalling things but being able to show love and caring for other people in his life, the progression from violence towards a partner to becoming a serial killer. Fascinating stuff if you don't suffer from knee-jerkitis.
  20. Because not airing such issues and pretending life is full of roses for women works so well, doesn't it?
  21. Alex K, whether it was condescending or not, it was rude. If someone wants to discuss an issue with their neigbours then it's pretty crappy telling them they are wasting their time and should go elsewhere.
  22. I bought pneumatic drill ear protectors at one office I worked at and just started wearing them while I was trying to concentrate on my work. http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4700554989406352&pid=15.1 Strangely, the very loud annoying person sharing our office stopped being quite so loud and annoying, even when I wasn't wearing the ear protectors, lol.
  23. Salla, by the way, yes I think he can't exactly evade the police for very long given everything they have on him and if he isn't caught in the next season, I will be disappointed with the writers. Exceptional writing so far so I hope they have other villains to pursue so it doesn't get rediculous.
