  1. It's not about demonising them, it's about exercising the only power we have to pursuade very powerful corporations to do the morally right thing in the face of massive cuts to our public services and the burden of taxation falling on fewer and fewer people.
  2. Would being registered in the UK be an indication that the business pays UK corporation tax? It seems that this lot register abroad and that is how they avoid it.
  3. Anyone fancy making a Freedom of Information request to see who signed what to allow these greedy tax dodgers to get away with this?
  4. Lol, yeh same here. Maybe I should boycot myself!
  5. I didn't know Boots, Johnny Walker and e-bay were at it too! https://secure.38degrees.org.uk/pages/tax_dodgers_guide
  6. Ok, changed my search engine and calender to Yahoo from Google, plus added dropbox to dispense with Google Drive. A bit more of a pain but not that much more. I just hope I don't get lost or have to speak German any time soon. Also please Yahoo and Dropbox, pay your taxes!
  7. You don't understand. It's romantic, not seedy. Two people meet in the virtual world and initially hate eachother, but over time, their feelings for eachother grow and they can't keep their emotions inside. Reality keeps on getting in the way of their budding romance, but they know they are destined to be together. Except you've gone and spoilt it all now!
  8. Lol, thanks.
  9. Ok, I've sent this to Amazon: "FAO the CEO of Amazon, I have used Amazon for many years, but I will not give you another penny of my hard earned money until you pay corporation tax in the UK on the money you make here. I will use your search facility to locate private UK registered sellers then find their online website to buy from them directly. I hope that you rethink your immoral tax practices, or lose a huge amount of business here, because all of our services are being cut, while big corporations like you, drain money out of our country. Amanda" If anyone wants to complain too, here is the email link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/contact-us?ie=UTF8&browse_node_id=
  10. Lol
  11. Quids I like your idea of emailing Amazon. I've already used their search to get the goods I want, but searched the names of the sellers online to buy them directly. Amazon can kiss my backside. They won't get another penny from me. I've uninstalled Google Chrome too and gone back to Firefox. Chrome is better and Google have all kinds of other stuff to link up, but I'm going to check out alternatives. I know Yahoo do an upload docs thing and they have a calender, so I might move to them. Need to see if they are any better than Google though. Does anyone know a search engine that comes close to being as good as Google?
  12. I have all the lights I need, the helmet, culy handlebars and the hi-viz jacket, but still feel a bit insecure on the roads. Do you think I should get a few of these to help build up my confidence? http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/images/tomb_kings_chariot_scythe_large.jpg
  13. Dances jig :-)
  14. Cheek! 48 is the new 21!
  15. In the name of science, I've cycled to work for 2 days without a helmet and discovered that cars took no discernable difference in care when zooming past me. I have, however, noticed that the rather fierce looking metal handle things curling upwards from the outer edges of my handlebars have a calming effect on car drivers who notice them, presumably as they look as though they could do some damage to their paintwork!
