How to get into Dulwich park before 8am?

There is a gap in the fence near Fireman's alley and the gates up the posh end near the gallery are open early. -

What excuse did he give for needing the cash upfront before he'd delivered the non-existant champagne? -

Brilliant series, but still not sure who killed her. It wasn't Hoick was it? he done Olav, but I don't think he did the girl. I'm confused now! -
Tarot, why on earth would you even comment about the tunnels being dangerous if you hadn't even seen them?

I used the Apple Genius Bar in Regent Street for a signal problem and they gave me a brand new handset after saving all my data and uploading it onto the new phone for me (as I hadn't backed it up onto Itunes). I hadn't booked an appointment but was able to do so instore for the same day on their computer and waited about 2 hours in total. Definitely worth taking your iphone straight to them.

That's a bit of a strange thing to say DJKQ. Having money does not make the battle with addiction any easier to beat. I would have thought the reverse would be true. Having the money to gain access to as many drugs as you could possibly ever consume would make the will-power needed to quit even more difficult to muster, regardless of the expert help available. Addiction is a personal battle and although some treatments can be very helpful, the bottom line is that the addict must be mentally prepared to quit and live a life of abstinence. No amount of money can purchace this.

So are you saying some people have more than one username? How do you know?

car clubs - do we need more of them?
LadyDeliah replied to carclubresearch's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I sold my car about 3 years ago and joined streetcar. I use it for dropping off and collecting my daughter from her dad's, collecting heavy items from the supermarket or Freecycle or dropping things at the recycle centre in Manor Place. That kind of thing. I cycle to work and use the train or a rental car usually for long journeys. I find that using a streetcar has massively reduced my transport costs, because I always use my bike for short journeys, but if I had a car, I might just use it because it is there. I am fitter too because I use my bike more. I have to ferry a 4 year old around and, with just one kid to deal with, I find I don't often need a car to get about. If I had more maybe I'd feel different, although my nearest streetcar is only 2 minutes away and I can book it on my iPhone in 30 seconds if I need to. -

It is suprising how families stayed together when women had no choice but to swallow any S*^t dished out to them by their husbands. Many women prefer to look after their kids on their own, despite how difficult that is, because for some reason, often when couples have a child, the father's life changes little, but the woman's life changes completely. If you are brought up to expect some gender equality (even if it's equality to bugger all) the huge relationship, social and often economic pressures to conform to gender stereotypes can be too much to take.

He seems like he's totally up his own orifice and the shine may have come off his current relationship, so in pathetic self-pity he's trying to reconstruct what could have been with you but which he patently did/does not deserve.

Man stabbed to death near East Dulwich station
LadyDeliah replied to louisiana's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Someone mentioned Chinese and other cultures as not being violent and then another perosn mentioned the Triads and someone else the white scarface type gangsters. It got me thinking about hierarchy in gangsterland and who would be at the top controlling things and who might be bottom of the pile and more visible through lack of access to the real money and police etc. I also remember some pretty violent Eastern European gangsters settling in the UK some time back. I wonder how much of the petty street crime and violence is from people wanting to get a piece of the action and have a 'career' in the alternative economy of criminals and gangsters. How would someone with no contact with real gangsters who are making the serious money find their way in? I knew a few old school villians in the past and they were pretty racist. They wouldn't promote anyone who wasn't white in their organisation. I knew one mixed race villian who had made it quite big, but that was because his white mum was the sister of a boss. This may all seem irrelevant, but I was just thinking that if the career ladder for gangsterism in this country is blocked for black wannabes, then would that mean that more black wannabe gangsters without contacts, but who desperately want to be part of the gangster life are relying on idiot rappers to tell them how to make it? I know idiot white guys too who want to make it but don't have connections, but as far as I know, all the big time gangster money making areas have been cornered by white gangsters who are extremely violent but more organised, so don't generally stab someone in front of a bus load of people. Not that I hang around with these kinds of people or anything, of course. -
Chain Gangs: A Viable Alternative?

Don't anti slavery treaties make it illegal to force anyone to work? Another thing is the possible impact on local businesses who would be undercut by the free labour of the prisoners and might not be able to compete. I think there were many problems with this in America in the past with prison governors being able to outbid private companies for contracts. -
Yes please keep the Waitrose argument to the thread dedicated to that argument rather than this one which is about a people's supermarket. I would be interested in volunteering and even helping to set it up. Thanks.

A friend of mine has land in Scotland and they hunt for rabbits and deer to eat, but they use their 6 lurchers to do the hunting for them. A big deer lasts for ages in their freezer but they have to butcher it before they freeze it. I usually hate liver, but fresh rabbit livers from rabbits caught that morning taste amazing.

Their educational content on the website is really useful. My friend's daughter was in a failing secondary school and managed to pass all if her GCSE's using the bitesize revision stuff on the BNC website. The BBC is brilliant in so many ways. Can't see Sky doing any if these things for free.

Yes, I thought that was a bit of a strange thing to say. Would the poster care to expand so that we actually understand what it is you were trying to say?
