  1. If everything goes as Oakland minister Harold Camping predicts, the Bay Area will suffer a world-ending earthquake around 6 p.m. Saturday, God-fearing Christians will ascend to heaven and everyone else is in big trouble for eternity. Nice, no work Monday then. (tu)
  2. I was on a building site years ago ( in the days before I took such care of my nails & stuff ) when the foremans son came in, head down & obviously upset. There must have been 20 odd guys sitting around at tea break. The dad put his arm round his son's neck and in a deep but warm northern tone said.. " Aye, has she finished it son ? " "Aye dad, she has" replied the boy, wiping away the tears from his dust covered face. " HAA...UNLUCKY " he boomed, punching the boy in the belly. He walked of laughing, leaving his son humiliated in the middle of all the workers. " You've gone all soft " shouted the father " now back to work " I had to laugh, It couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow. Nette:)
  3. I for one love the wall of Guardians left at the news agents, bring more I say. Nothing better to hide behind from the tide of cr4p swilling round in the tory rags. Ooooo and dont* forget it's a bumper sized one on Saturday, garnished on Sunday with The Observer. Nette:) p.s. What time is it ? * nods to Bob Dylan
  4. She's a bit of a "one" is our Tessaw Here's a post on another section of the forum. I think she want her front bush trimmed first, then down to the heavy business I think. Nette::o Weekend help labourer in the Garden new Posted by: Tessaw February 08, 06:22PM A taut bodied helping hand/labourer needed to assist with painting fence panels re-staining decking some heavy lifting as established plant pots need moving. Might suit a mature school or collage student needing to earn extra cash. * not sure what a collage student is? but hey, she's got something in mind i'm sure

I know that area. It's the one where they all wear Reebok Classics and fake Hackett polo shirts with the collars up. The women sport bad tattoos and drag over fed staffs round the block to 'empty' them, all the while smoking king size "sovereigns" and doing scratchcards by the hand full. Shame no pie & mash shops there though, still it IS chelsea afterall. Yep, it is a unique place that's for sure. Well worth a tv show all of it's own. N;-)
  7. Oh dear 33 34 posts on the crispy-ness or lack of it on potato. * awaits a 100 score *

  11. Like I said a de-logo'd classic item is king. In grey-marle preferably. Navy for a sweatshirt but not a hooded one. Black, no. White if you have a natural tan, and if you are in good shape with all your own hair.( and decent teeth ) think Richard Gere, not Chris Evans, actually IF you are like Chris Evans wear the hood up and back to front, whilst walking up Barry Road at rush hour. BUT whatever you do, please avoid the drippy "dad-ish" brands sold locally. Usually in "tumble drier grey" or "dishcloth brown" colour. I'll kick your friggin balls off if I see you in one. Nette:)
  12. If you're serious then there is a difference between a generic "hoodie" and a quality sweatshirt ( with a hood ) The good ones are generally 10-14oz fabric, pull on or full zipped, with a 2 ply hood, ribbed sides, bottom & cuffs. Even better if it's a reverse weave fabric ( it holds it shape better ) As for sans-brand, I'd rather go for a genuinely classic item like a "champion" upon which many designer brands base their cut and panel design. I'd rather un-pick or blank out the logo, than a buy a non branded but cheaper "uniqlo" or something similar which eventually ends up bobbly and out of shape. It's better to see a quality item on an older guy. At least it makes you look like you know a bit about these things. Oh, and lastly the colour has to be "grey marle" or at a push "white". Good luck. 13. It's a hangover ????'s ( of way too much raving ) We've been left all emotionally exposed by the wreckreational activities that we overindulged in. * wipes a tear * Nette:-S
  14. Firstly, is it really causing an issue ? If not please take into account of necessity of the humble bee in our environment. Bees are relatively benign & if you could leave them alive, then all to the good. Please read the link i've put on here. Good luck. Nette(tu)
  15. Today is the last chance to see this house. If only for the tea and home baked chocolate cake, it's worth the effort. Nette(tu)
  16. I generally lay a slice of freshly fried bacon on my burns. Does it work, of course not. But who gives a toss?
  17. As they say " You can't polish a turd " That you could be a hoodie wearing turd makes no difference. On the other hand, you could be a rough diamond but I doubt it. Nette;-)
