  6. DUH 1/2 a million pounds worth of sculpture left planted in an unlit park. And no it didn't exactly blow over, but then again it wasn't exactly secure was it However, talking about it as we are here or on the NHF didn't make it disappear either You don't write for Jonnathan Creek do you ?
  7. It might rain this week-end Low and behold . . The Bone heads in charge of the stuff should be sacked for negligence How much was the Barbara Hepwoth worth? Half a mi??ion (and some) And in the deepest recession, with metal prices at an all time high & thieves up and down the country stealing such stuff, they left it there (near on) unsecured NETTE(6)

  10. Poor Ol' Ginger What with Tea-bagging, hairy arses and a penchant for bacon the poor gal will be off knackered before we know it. And given the range between Uppers and Lower sides of East Dulwich she'll be huffin and puffin her way up Lordship Lane (in her tap shoes of course) like a good 'un. http://www.skevi.com/images/1630310.jpgI 'deffo' would get one of these if I were her. Hmmm. Church Road in Crystal Palace is a permanent set up with loads of shops selling mainly furniture and "stuff". You never can tell what you'll find up there & Saturday early is best. I know a fair few of the traders, like Andy from Bambino and Jerry from I.D. It is quite well priced and there's always room for haggling. However, there is a madder/odder market at the back of the Sainsbury's delivery yard. If you have the heart and patience there are things to be found there, but it is slightly odd/weird. Merton Abbey Mills ( where Liberty once printed their fabric) has declined into a very poor version of Camden i'm afraid. Anybody know what the name of the area/street near Borough where some stall holders have set up an alternative market ? NETTE(tu)

  13. I do like a Market Last week we went to Brockley Food Market located in the carpark of Lewisham college. Very high standards there & I recommend a visit. Dorset Oysters for breakfast at 90p a go. (and there's a game dealer from Kent who sells rifle shot Hares in one piece & for that alone i'm very excited) At the other end of the spectrum I occasionally get up really early and go to the dogtrack at Wimbledon, it's essentially a massive carboot sale on Saturday. But on Wednesday it's a traders market and if you pay a fiver you get in before the public to check out the stock. However, no money can change hands before 10am. It's like a visit to the Star Wars bar , there is it seems a whole bootsale culture. You never can tell what you'll find there and like Ikea it's near on impossible to come out empty handed. I pay a visit to Borough but not so much as I used too. Brixton market indoors is getting interesting and the food outlets are really good too. Shoreditch early on a Sunday is an eyeopener and throws up some good (but slightly dodgy) stuff. If you're looking for big-curious-quality furniture then Ardingly antique fair is massive. Are there any others worth a look ? NETTE(tu)

No I thinks its gone It was the first club that had a free drinking fountain & air con as standard I went there a few times, the last was the most *ahem* enlightening I discovered that with the right person/badge that there was another room upstairs And what an eye opener that night/room was. In fact, after that night I couldn't shut my eyes for at least 36 hours NETTE:-S
