I love this version, occasionally I get to work in Crete for a couple of months of the year. There's a small kiosk just as you leave Chania going west, they do a good Souvlaki-pita, tightly wrapped in plain white paper. Car window open, driving through the olive groves, hot air outside and half the ingredients on your lap, just can't be beaten really [quote name=Souvlaki-pita This course consists of souvlaki meat garnished with sliced tomatoes and onions' date=' sauced with tzatziki, and wrapped in a lightly grilled pita.] (tu) Actually, thinking about it. There's a place on King's Road called Ranoush that does something as near on perfect. It's also not too pricey. The area on the left is where you can sit at the stainless steel bar and they prep everything right there in front of you, just as you like it. Pickles, Charcoal grilled lamb..... Oh man, it's pretty good (tu)
