Just as an anecdote, and not saying one > should do this, but if worried about being mugged, > a former colleague of mine used always to carry > ?50 on the basis that muggers would be satisfied > if you handed that over, whereas if one had > nothing they might force one to go to the nearest > cashpoint and take out more. Don't know how > tenable that was but an interesting theory. Won't be eight pence for a small business for all card related costs, would go for about 30 pence once all costs are factored dependant on volume
  2. Brockley rock is best but a bit of a trek
  3. Local and do it every year http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/11670203.Restaurant_spreading_the_love_by_offering_free_meals_on_Christmas_Day/
  4. lower the ceilings below, it makes a huge difference however it does mean a complete first floor redecorating exercise and a lot of dust
  5. worth noting that the above link shows a house which is 12ft wide which in estate agent speak probably means practically 10ft wide on average therefore i think the link only justifies the crazy price
  6. Think they are referring to the catford service rather than forest hill however I thought catford had more than 2 per hour.
  7. Honor Oak Park is good for primary schools with Stillness, Dalmain and Fairlawn all performing well, not sure on Secondary schools although one of my neighbours sent their kids to secondary school in Surrey as the trains from Honor Oak practically went straight there. Some of the roads behind the high street in HOP (south side) might be in the catchment of both Stillness and Dalmain. Good Luck
  8. Any houses around Stillness, Dalmain, Fairlawn. We went east of the tracks as I work in between Canary Wharf, Kings Cross plus travel via major airports/train stations therefore east of the tracks you have two separate train lines to choose from which comes in useful. we have a two year old and another on the way so schools was a big choice for us, have a look at the results of the above schools to see if they fit what you are looking for. P.s. Jenner Healthcare Centre is pretty good
  9. Hi, My wife is very interested in this I will send you a PM. Cheers Clive
  10. New Art Gallery Opened in HOP on the high street
  11. Hi Damzel, Please can you also let me know the company? (by PM if your prefer). Did you need to move out whilst the work was taking place? if so how long did you move out for? Was there a lot of dust around on your 1st floor post the completion? we have a toddler and new baby on way.
  12. Nunheadmum - how does your loft feel with a height of 1.95m? we are considering our loft and will end up with a similar height but unsure whether it will feel boxed in for us?? especially as i am 1.8m tall.
  13. Hi Dirtybox, I have the same question as Redpea regarding Taylored Lofts. Cheers
