  1. I think LM and RD are probably keeping each other Kompany.

DH offer chips and/or fries as a side as well as with burgers - "Hand-Cut, Twice-Cooked Chips or Fries w/ Tangy Malt Vinegar Mayo ?2.95"
  3. SJ's right - they offer the thin spindly fries option or the big fat proper chip one http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRD3r5cT7zgyKiG7o09BGcjw2CAdS5Alcd1Hu84kW_-Rs8ZJJY6 Fries.... Tbh I think Blackpool will prove such a thorn for B'ham and put them through two really tough games - so much so that even if the blues win they will be shot and WH will beat them comfortably... if we get past Cardiff;-)
  6. A minor spat during the game - at least he had the dignity to shake hands at the end - something not every manager has the grace (Wenger I'm looking at you) to do.

Well there's a thing - just come back from Draft House where my OH had the 'Smoke' Burger complete with chipotle mayo (Monday night is 'Hamburger Night' when you get a burger special of your choice and a pint of DH Light Lager for ?9.75 - incredibly good value). I could have done with more chipotle but it has to be said the burger was moist, smoky and delicious with a proper bun (the kind that is made in the same way you make a bagel so it doesn't disintegrate when it gets steamy) and EITHER chips or fries (good point). A very good local burger imho.

  9. Time for summer frocks...
  10. Egos schmegos - Capello (who was picked because of his international experience and supposed tactical nous) knew how to handle egos and he was the choice of the egos in the England dressing room (apparently) - besides, it wasn't egos that had England playing like frightened rabbits it was FEAR and the last thing they need is a headmaster telling them what to do. So how is Hodgson better than, or an alternative to, Capello? England need different.

Aye, y'could spend t'whole night skankin' at a blues in my day and still have change from a pound.
  12. Yeah - International experience at a low level. But he is of course "one of the most respected coaches in Europe" (as he himself is always keen to point out whenever anyone dares criticise him). He has never shown he can handle big name players and - imho - is pompous, self important (a perfect fit for the FA blazers) and autocratically unimaginative. He will probably make Bobby Zamora Rooney's main strike partner and will insist players wear ties at all times. What England players need is inspiration and the encouragement to display the talent they show at club level (and shed the inhibitions they usually show and the fear they appear to play under). The last manager to do that was El Tel and the only one who could do it atm is Redknapp. #Graham Taylor mkII.
  13. You might want to make a note of this link to see when the usual summer little bit of painting important engineering works are happening

  15. Didn't Einstein once say - 400yds > infinity?* *He actually said "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe." but it's the same thing...
  16. I got a little man in to check my fibre cabinet... no luck. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41989000/jpg/_41989532_wardrobe_pa_220.jpg
  17. Here are three (different) ducks paused for effect... http://www.probertencyclopaedia.com/photolib/birds/Three%20Flying%20Ducks.jpg I think it means it's going to rain...
  18. Tbh if we get past the Taffs I would rather WH be facing Blackpool than Brum...
  19. The other day I saw three ducks flying south along (and above, naturally) Lordship Lane. Having been cheated of the rapture a while ago I wonder if this is a sign. Have there been any odd/disturbing/unusual/alarming sights/events witnessed in the area of late that have given the average EDFer pause...?

  21. It's that timne of year again - no trains from/to ED today or tomorrow because of "Engineering Works".
  22. Unbelievably crass behaviour by BBC - interviewing players in the tunnel before the final whistle and keeping the manager from the celebrations immediately after - you're not Sky FFS.

Lots of women in hot pants and high boots > dancing, can't remember much else to be honest. Throw in a power-cut or two and that pretty much covers it - though I would like to see a return of the Harvey Smith as opposed to the transatlantic method or 'giving the finger'... maybe we could start a campaign to bring back 'flicking the Vs'? ETA: Although being in Norfolk is as close to the 70s as one can get nowadays...
  24. That's it now (3:0) - looks like Cardiff in the play-off first round unless Boro score... we never do well against Welsh teams.
