Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It was so sh1t that even Rangers won it. Ahah! EC - Celtic won it so good competition UEFA - Celtic got to final so good cup CWC - ... I see where you're going with this but at least I'm up front about my bias EC - for league WINNERS CWC - for cup WINNERS UEFA cup - the rest quality schmality
-
'Even'!? Remember Quids we won it at Wembley... against Germans... in the 60s... (we just called it a dress rehearsal)
-
Nonsense - the CWC was the 2nd most important Euro-Trophy after the EC - which is why the winners of those two competitions played for the Euro Super Cup - the winners of the UEFA cup didn't. AND you had to have won a cup to get into the CWC but qualified for the UEFA by being a 'runner up' aka a loser.* *The fact that The Irons also won the CWC but never the UEFA has had no bearing on this post.

very funny (don't pretend you don't know what I mean) Great for the club, the players (who seem to have got some heart back) and the fans, and... ...and my "cognitive dissonance" has gone up to 11 - I feel like a vegan stuffing his face with bacon.

You're right RD but the problems started a long long time before the injuries - right about when Downing was signed and no striker was. I feel too that Cardiff is last chance but worry that - by law of averages or Cardiff having a bad day - a win will prolong the agony - and yet I want a win - and yet that'll keep him at the club - but I want a win - it's a footy catch 22. I accept a new man may not keep us up but at least the rebuild could start earlier. 'bout now's earlier post sums it up for me. Y'see fabfor? I told you it wouldn't work.* *Forecasts available at reasonable rates.** **Predicts some will not believe me and think I am taking the piddle - oh you poor, lost souls flailing in the darkness*** ***Special sceptics offer - 2 forecasts for a tenner.

Bloody Cheats! That girl at the front is cup-tied, she played in the Spurs defence in the last round.
-
Dog's right - I've been watching news programmes all my life and I've never known moaning this bad.
-
Tbh for a sec and to dodge the BFS elephant in the room - most of the players should be ashamed of themselves after this - not fit to wear the c&b - Adrian apart - two batterings in a row and he's our MOTM both times! I hear there are lots of tickets available for the second leg!

No it's fine *sips new Gold-Sullivan Kool Aid* Sam knows best *sips* Big Sam *sips* Big Bluff Sam *sips* Great man to have in a crisis *sips* You can see the team are behind him *sips* Not lost the dressing room - never *sips* only the first leg *sips* still only 5-0 *sips* and we got a kick a minute ago *sips and begins to feel drowsy... Oh I see the tactic now... Don't get tight, don't tackle, walk don't run and let karma take over - let ManC do what they want for 80 minutes then nail 'em! Ha ha ha, Man City can't see they're falling into a carefully laid trap.

That's about right BR - if BS (are you two related?) ordered a 'park-the-bus' scenario he'd probably have them parked end on like this (instead of across the goal) and with bloody great gaps in between :) We might surprise you - Joe Cole's already put the ref down to show him not to get any ideas - now how's that counter attack plan going...? 11 minutes in... plenty of time for a comeback now that City will get complacent...

steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can you get e-spliffs? Vaporisers were popular a few years ago but were expensive and didn't give a proper 'hit'. When I gave up smoking I used the sprays for a while but they were harsh and unpleasantly 'minty' so just gritted teeth and whined a lot. 21 months smoke free so far.

Now I don't want to be pernickety and it may be because it was their 25p/wing night (every Tuesday) but visited the Flying Pig again tonight - 8pm and it was standing room only.

If Rio & Carrick are now seen as over the hill/surplus to requirements could you send them back now you've finished with them?
