  1. Inspired by Computedshorty's card making skills, (with rotating age wheel for multi year use) i wondered if anyone else had any top tips? Mine sadly are vizesk purely because i have a juvenile sense of humour: -

To stop crisps cutting a sensitive mouth when eating, soak them in a bowl of water first.

Creosote, makes an excellent substitute for expensive fake tan, apparently it?s also a great preservative, so no need for other beauty products.

    ;-)

  2. Im With, AlexC & PipD, when i moved to London most of my Devon friends were mortified for me. To them anywhere in London is dangerous riot filled, expensive, dirty and generally undesirable. I can show them that and enlighten them a little. I think there are small areas of wasteland inhabited by intransigent people; with respect Dulwich Fox may be happier on the Isle of Sheppey. The trouble is will they be happy with incomers from Dulwich.
  3. David,

maybe i should have read the BBC news web page too. 2000 is very few in grand scheme of 83 and a half thousand. My question is do we think another prison ship would be a viable proposition to house short term convicted rioters, not who is responsibe for making people roit.

  4. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm............... you think? Half the people rioting had no idea who was in power & have no concept of politics.

'the Conservatives or whatevvvveeer', and how they are "showing the rich we can do what we want". "Good though, innit?

    Classic!

  5. Apparently our prisons are full to capacity at the moment with convicted & remanded prisoners resulting from the riots. I wonder if anyone has thought about buying back ?The Good Ship Weare?, HMP Weare was moored off Portland to help with prison overcrowding in the late 1990s. The inspector of prisons thought the conditions were too poor to house prisoners. It was eventually sold off in 2005 to a Nigerian oil company to house oil workers. Conditions too poor to house prisoners but clearly not for honest working people in another country. Bought at premium, sold off cheaply??

Would these conditions be too poor to house rioters who think it is ok to deprive others of their homes, business, jobs and their basic human rights?

  6. I always find John Cooper Clarke has a poem for every occasion. This would be my choice...... but then again it wouldnt do if we were all alike eh? Enjoy a bit of classic JCC

I wanna be your vacuum cleaner

    breathing in your dust

I wanna be your Ford Cortina

    I will never rust

If you like your coffee hot

let me be your coffee pot

    You call the shots

    I wanna be yours

    I wanna be your raincoat

    for those frequent rainy days

    I wanna be your dreamboat

when you want to sail away

Let me be your teddy bear

    take me with you anywhere

    I don?t care

    I wanna be yours

I wanna be your electric meter

    I will not run out

I wanna be the electric heater

    you?ll get cold without

I wanna be your setting lotion

hold your hair in deep devotion

Deep as the deep Atlantic ocean

that?s how deep is my devotion

  7. Can we take away their human rights...? After all this is what this is about. They riot, loot, burn and deprive innocent people of their basic human rights purely because they can. The police have no jurisdiction over what they do, their hands are tied by the plasticuffs of human rights. Having been involved in the judicial system for far too many years and been asked by rapists, paedophiles, murderers and generally the cream of England?s shyte to be given respect, all I could do was shake my head and walk away. Respect is earned, it is a perspective of how you feel about someone or something else not what you demand of others. There is no answer to this, no quick fix. The human rights act, the nanny nation and the, politically correct crazies have caused this. Human rights?????.. Who the hell for eh?
  8. Cheers Katie,

safety in numbers always was a cautious kind of chick & thanks for the venue i would probably have got myself in all kinds of bother asking for the Dogstar.::o

  9. Oh, no speed dating isnt for me, im a respectable middle aged spinster. I'll come for the drinks though, on my own obviously. I'll be the one wearing crimpleen Littlewoods elasticated back trousers and wide fit sandles purchased from the Sunday Mail magazine especially for the occasion.
