each time I have looked to book a week in advance at the 10pm time, there is nothing. I will persevere! I would like a more relaxed swim as no knee replacement yet, but not able to use my legs so much due to knees!

Bit off-topic, but I am curious as to how you can book the silver swim at ED. Every time I look on the booking system, it's full booked. It seems to be booked further ahead than other swim sessions. It would be really nice to be able to attend a non lane swim.

I imagine they also legally have a limited number of people they can have in the pool at any one time, so if it was just a case of turn up and swim, there would likely be people turned away after they might have cleared part of their day to swim.

Because some people want senior sessions to swim gently and perhaps socialise. One lane for lengths wouldn't work. Some swimmers are incredibly fast and some are very slow, it is just unworkable.

On Saturdays, there's a 7am one, plus one at 4pm and 5pm On Sundays, there's a 7am one, plus 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm Or did you mean that there isn't a midday one, as I am sure there was before. It does seem like there is this empty, 'nothing on', space from 7am one finishing at 8am, until the family swim starts at 2pm. Maybe it's for lessons or something.

They allow 10 people per lane, so if someone books a fast lane, but they are a slow swimmer, and they go in slow lane, that means there are likely more than 10 in that lane. They are quite clear on the booking part about swim speeds.

I just used EE House for the first time in years. Can't remember why I stopped, but I imagine the quality went down. It was honestly excellent. Good portions and tasted great. Great if you just want basic hearty Chinese food and nothing too fancy.

If you live on the same road as leisure centre, might be worth dropping in and finding out what the problem is? I think, you have to have an account.

I noticed a lot of sand last time I was there. Not sure if anyone else finds this, but the changing rooms are SO cold. Perhaps it's just me getting older and realising if you lose weight you feel the cold more!!

I just want to recommend Glen, who ground a tree stump in my garden in October. Access through my flat is quite awkward and makes larger machinery impossible to use. I disagree, it was pretty filthy back then, plus the issues that Southwark have had were the ones left by EA.

It's not exactly blocking the pavement. No more so than the bicycle chained up in the foreground. Whilst the majority may not need it, the minority might. It's definitely not very aesthetically pleasing, but less intrusive than piles of lime bikes lying around.

I went last week, and it was lovely and warm, then went on Tuesday and wished I hadn't stepped in as it was freezing. It shouldn't be so cold that you shiver when you briefly stop swimming! A lot of grit in parts at bottom.

With fibre you are paying for the speed, which is the number, yours is 300 so if you did a lot of gaming, for example, you would want the fastest possible. If it's just office work or maybe streaming on Netflix you likely won't need as fast, but, if there are a lot of people in your house all doing their own thing on different devices, then faster speeds are better. I don't rely on my Wi-Fi much other than when I am using my mobile. I use Ethernet cables to connect up everything, I Have one cable running from my router, along the skirtings and through a hole I drilled in the wall to another room. I have attached the plusnet speed guide which gives you an idea of how it works.

For Plusnet, I pay £31.99 for Full Fibre 500. (the number is the line speed you have paid for) I have recently recontracted. Always phone them up, and ask what deal they can do for me. Usually get a decent reduction. Sue, I would suggest you call them, especially if you are close to contract renewal. Sometimes they will change deals mid-contract, as I have found in the past.

Amazon seem to do this more and more now. They don't even ring the doorbell, just leave them lying on the door step, then you find out it's been delivered when you check tracking. The official Amazon vans are frequently followed on their routes by thieves and take the opportunities freely given.
