  1. I think the one on East Dulwich Grove, Village Tandoori, is really nice. Not that I am an expert on curries, and it is only a takeaway.
  2. yes, it's been open since last week.
  3. why would apologies be needed to the previous management? EA didn't have issues with gas leaks, they just didn't maintain the equipment.
  4. It's not exactly something they have control over, as it's a gas leak outside. They have to wait for the relevant agencies to sort it before they can heat the pool.
  5. Thought I needed my eyes tested then. 😉
  6. this happened a while ago, I found a car, same street with boot open. I just shut the boot as it turned out it was a parent in a hurry and they just simply forgot!
  7. yup, I saw that on the app.
  8. No, they have the right address. 🙂
  9. EA left it in a mess and Southwark had to clear that mess up.
  10. I have no idea either, but it has happened three times now. They are one street away, then stay there for an hour plus. Then it's suddenly delivered, but there is no package. I only order stuff which will arrive on days I am in. These three times, I was in, the doorbell didn't ring, no one showed up on camera, but tracking said it was delivered to my address and handed to the resident! Sometimes things are left on doorstep as I don't get to the door fast enough, I know they are on a tight time frame, and I wouldn't like their job, but these three times, nothing had been left/delivered. I imagine just driving up a street, pausing outside a property would show up in the tracking and could look like delivered. It's not like they ask for a signature or a photo of person accepting it. Amazon refunded/replaced each item, and I did complain and suggest they looked into it, but what do they care?
  11. Not sure if aimed at me, but I know they use cars. The street I checked had no cars with visible parcels, or occupants.
  12. Sue, the street was empty, it wasn't my street, but an adjoining one which doesn't ever had many vehicles on it, as it's a school street, plus is a short/small street. There were only resident cars, and about 6 if I remember rightly. If there had been a delivery vehicle there, then my parcel would have been delivered! It wasn't. None of them were. Extra security, I have a camera, so I can see who comes to my door. There were no deliveries.
  13. I've never had issues with the official Amazon delivery drivers, but the casual ones, yes. Last month I didn't receive three different parcels. I was in, watching the tracking whilst working. Tracking changed to delivered, but no doorbell ring. Went to the door and there was nothing there. These were all weekend deliveries. Searched the immediate area, but nothing. I was too quick to get to the door for someone passing to have taken. Amazon were good, as usual, to refund/send replacements, but one seller was clearly suspicious, and I had a short battle with them. With all of those disappearing parcels, the tracking showed the driver at a standstill on a nearby street for as long as two hours. The last time, I actually walked to the road in question prior to the supposed delivery, but there were no vehicles which looked like they were delivering.
  14. ah, you didn't say that in your original message, otherwise I wouldn't have suggested. Hopefully it will be found safe and well.
  15. if you are able to, take it to the emergency medivet in Camberwell. 7 Kenbury St, London SE5 9BS 020 3816 1010 Call them to say you are coming.
  16. If you call the noise team when it is actually happening, stand outside, so they can hear it. They will have no problem in finding where it is coming from if they come out. You must keep a diary though. Other than witnessing it themselves, they need evidence.

  18. Update - I have taken them to the 24hr Medivet Hospital in Camberwell as they are either unwell, hurt or exhausted, perhaps all three. If they are yours, or you know who they belong to, please contact Medivet on 020 3816 1010
  19. I've seen this cat before in various parts of East Dulwich grove, but they're in my garden on Trossachs right now. they don't look great so wondered if anyone knows much about them.
  20. Saw about 3 or 4 on Trossachs either Friday or yesterday, can't remember.
  21. I don't disagree with Nigello, but the same problem will continue. Too many people will turn up, and those who get their first, will get in, others will be turned away. So you could go there every day you want to swim and unless you get there earlier than everyone else, you may not get to swim at all on all those days.
  22. I'm not disagreeing with your feelings as until I got to grips with the system, I was struggling to get a space, but surely those who aren't 'diehards' will lose out as well? It would be so frustrating/disappointing to schedule a time in the day for a swim, walk to the pool, only to find the pool was oversubscribed, so no swim. From what I gather, the lane swims are for 'diehards' who want to swim constantly in a lane, be it fast, med, slow. Where the other sessions, public swim, family swim, senior swim etc are for those who just want to swim generally. There is something for everyone.
  23. Removing it would then mean, some people who turn up to swim may have to go home as there is no room in the pool. The sessions aren't really long enough for people to wait until one person comes out.
  24. The Dulwich pool is back in working order now. I went yesterday evening. The booking app has been difficult, and I did have issues, but the manager sorted it out fairly quick for me. You will need another card, (new Southwark one) which might be the issue. Go in and speak to them if you can, sort it on site. From my assumptions, Everyone Active left the pools in a mess, disrepair. Southwark are picking up the pieces. Whilst I personally don't like booking either, there realistically isn't room in the pool, say during lane swims, if more than 10 people turn up per lane. It's just not big enough, and a turn up and swim would likely end in chaos and not a great experience.
  25. Weedkiller with glycophosphate can also damage car paintwork. Any spray residue on paintwork, after they have sprayed on kerb side, needs to be wiped off. I had to do this a year or so ago when I saw them spraying.
