  1. I have used plusnet mobile for quite a few years now. I find it excellent. Not had any issues at all. Prices are good, especially if you have a broadband deal with them.
  2. I think Smile on Northcross road are very proactive in preventative dentistry. Unsure about their NHS take in, but children should be eligible.
  3. yes Sue, all read. I just think that 'bashing' the people that actually deliver our post isn't the right step. Higher up, yes. 4. I bumped into my regular postman today. He's off to Mexico with his 5k bonus next week. *insert rolley eyes*. All I read here is blame for postal delays/non-deliveries on the recipient's end of the journey, East Dulwich/Peckham. Has no one considered that from the moment items are posted they have a long journey, often via several methods of transport, machinery for sorting etc etc. Things can, and do get lost during that journey. Putting the blame on postal workers/offices locally is unfair.
  5. For so many break-ins in one area, there is nothing to be found in any online searches.
  6. Hope this helps you Pugwash. You only need the code. Just write it down on a bit of paper. Collect a Package at an Amazon Hub Locker 1 Go to the Locker location. 2 Locate the 6-digit pickup code and barcode in your delivery confirmation email. 3 Enter your pickup code on the touch-screen display or scan the barcode using the Locker scanner. The scanner is located directly beneath the touch screen of the Locker.
  7. I had the same, off for almost 36 hrs, then back up, then down again. Reported and confirmed as an incident in area. All seems to be fine now.
  8. That's an epic display! mac4 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The town of Oban, on the west coast of Scotland, > has announced it is re-instating it's firework > display this year, 10 years after the last one > suffered a firing mistake and the whole ?6000 of > fireworks went off in 60 secs. 9. Chances of you getting it back are slim as it's been accepted even though it's not that person's name. You should take it up with the sender as they clearly got the address wrong.
  10. Actually, I think it was my brother who said it likely was a boiler. It was a few weeks before it was sorted. I did go out to try and pinpoint where it was coming from, and if it had carried on I would have knocked on doors. It must also be impacting those in the house and neighbours too. It is incredibly disturbing though.
  11. I had a similar issue a few years ago now. A poster here suggested it was someone's boiler, a faulty valve so that when the boiler starts up it makes that noise. I can't for some reason find the post where that was said. It eventually stopped and I wondered if the person had read my post and done something about it. Here is the thread. /forum/read.php?5,1907008,1907652#msg-1907652

Some of the non > fiction books have been re allocated upstairs. Imagine if the supermarkets made everyone put everything they touched but didn't buy into a 48hour quarantine box. Seems like a very unnecessary procedure.
  13. They are out spraying the kerb areas and pavements with weedkiller presently. Just gone up Trossachs. If you have your car parked on road, give the kerb side part of your car a wash down on the lower panels. They are not careful how and where they are spraying. I have just had to wash weedkiller that was literally dripping off the car. Not 100% sure it would do damage, can't seem to find any info.
  14. sometimes there is quite a jam at the Village junction/crossroads on East Dulwich Grove, so you could also possibly carry on from Lordship lane, past ED station, past Sainsburys, up Dog Kennel Hill and then turn left at the lights after Denmark hill station Go up Denmark Hill then down Red Post. It's a bit of a longer way, but might move better.
  15. Thanks for responses. Makes sense that some may not open until a later date due to space.
  16. Yeah, I thought so too, but on several national charity sites I am seeing the later date.
  17. Getting conflicting info re. When charity shop's are allowed to open their doors. Some sources saying 12th April others 15th June. Can anyone clarify please?
  18. I've been with bulb for a couple of years now I think, very simple and easy, but yes, they are pushing smart meters big time. I don't particularly want one so hanging on.
  19. If you want to get Hyde to do anything, you have a VERY long wait. I would suggest joining the independent residents Facebook group for support. Here is the link... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1495535657339414 Oh, and I mean 'anything', not just get transferred
  20. I have just sent off an email. Fingers crossed!
  21. Thanks for the input nxjen. Appreciated. :-)
  22. I have checked on Southwark's website, and it's said that the subscriptions for 20/21 closed in February. That must be last February as it includes 2020, but I can't see how to subscribe for this year. Am I missing an important link or process for this? Any input would be great, then it might save me trying to get through to them!
  23. Would be really great if people were encouraged to edit subject lines in the sale section with SOLD when their item had gone, rather than editing the post body. It's irritating to open a post to find SOLD somewhere among the description of the item! *Pedantic moment over*.
  24. it eventually goes through to this with clicking other links. https://www.josteopathy.co.uk/ and not local! Rear of, 14 Lesbourne Road, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 7LD Not a great way to advertise your business and bring a level of trust!
