Surely this is a joke? A bit like having a charity event in aid of curing liver disease in a pub.

Those are very disappointing figures. Now I know why we have an Iceland and a Somerfield in Lordship Lane and not a Waitrose or M&S.

I can't wait to see the back of them. The place is so badly run in my humble opinion. What a great site - right in the middle of a busy street in a fairly wealthy residential area. They should be raking it in. The selection of fresh food / meat / fish etc is awful and there is always a long queue even when it is quite quiet. Bring on M&S or Waitrose but sadly I can't see much happening in the current environment.

I really hope we don't get a Paul in Lordship Lane, the last thing the area needs is quality shops. What we need are more fried chicken shops and launderettes with bulldog faced women standing outside smoking a Rothmans.

Couldn't they bulldoze the affordable housing opposite the garden centre instead?

Can't believe people whinge about these things. It is called PROGRESS. Good for the area and good for property prices. Would they rather the empty tire shop stayed there with netting all over it? All Bar One would be fine with me, but organic grocers is fine too. The next thing I would do is to demolish Somerfield or Iceland or both and put Waitrose or M&S in there. Doubt that place will be an All Bar One though - too small and Lordship Lane is pretty quiet at night.
