  1. Is Wood Vale a more dangerous road than any other locally to justify a 20mph limit (whether it is indeed correct or not).
  2. All the time there are people wanting to move into the area like yourself then prices will stay where they are. Basic supply and demand. Look at rental prices, up 10% a year minimum for the last 5years, and will keep going up all the time people pay it. Same with petrol prices, 33% higher than 18months ago, I own a car, what can I do but pay it (rhetorical before someone pipes up :-) )
  3. Why does Fellbrigg Road have a lower speed limit than the other surrounding roads where you can do 30 ??
  4. Ive read most of the above with interest, and to add my 2p worth ... Whether car driver, pedestrian, cyclist or all of the above, smooth traffic flow whether peak or off-peak is surely benefitical. There are car drivers that are idiots, there are pedestrians that just walk out, and there are cyclists that race through red lights. All groupings can be equally guilty or innocent. It is just as unreasonable to label all car drivers selfish as it is to make any other stereotype (racism, ageism, etc). Whoever's gain it is for is not important. Smooth traffic flow is good for all, poor traffic flow will not necessarily reduce accidents, as inevitably frustration and impatience will increase. Save the money and repair some f**king pot-holes. Good night.
  5. Perhaps we can instead identify the dog from the deposits collected ?? :-)
  6. If it is merely a matter of more space for parents, as has been suggested above by some, should "big boned" people be entitled to special parking areas ?? or tall people ?? where will it end ??
  7. If an agent did their job, and a vendor was realistic, the price would be correct and a price drop would not be needed.
  8. Ask an agent, it doesnt cost money to approach one for advice. Im sure any sensible agent would love to have a decent chat with you about it in the hope when you do sell or rent, now or in the future, that you will recall the. They are going to have far more knowledge and experience to share with you across the whole market rather than one individuals personal experience coming your way via here ... comments like its tough to get over 250k for a two bed garden flat are just nonsense. There are several one beds with gardens that have gone for this amount, and as for prices falling since the start of the year, again, how can this be true given that most people marketing and going under offer in 2011 probably still havent exchanged or completed yet. Its unlikely your place is worth any more, or less, than it was a month ago.
  9. If I was a shop owner I would display whatever I wanted in my shop window. The shopkeeper surely reserves the right to serve who he wants, and does not want.
