  1. Hi, this sounds like a great idea, I'm due on the 2nd November with my first so meeting up and sharing experiences etc would be wonderful. The 11th July sounds good to me...Jilly
  2. OMG I better get a move on then, what nurseries are desirable in the area?
  3. Hello there, I have my first new-mum-to-be dilema. I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby and my hubby and I went to meet the midwife yesterday to register all my info etc. As we were leaving she mentioned that we should start looking at nurseries for the wee one as East Dulwich mums are putting their babies names on waiting lists even before they're concieved and wiating lists can be 2 years long! Is this true, should I seriously start looking into nurseries at this early stage? If so where would you recommend? Is there anything else I should know that I might be green to? thanks
  4. YES me too! I went in there with my dog and he told me to get out as he's allergic, I told him he wasn't allergic the last time I was in and he just sneered at me and went back to playing computer games. I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and went back in with my husband this time, once again we were sneered at and completely ignored while he chatted to his wife about the TV. We walked out sharpish and will never go back in, such a shame but I'm glad it wasn't a personal attack!
  5. my hubby went to Jazz the other day and he was very impressed - and so was I. Def worth a shot and at 12 a pop rather than the 30 odd he used to pay at Willis B it's worth it for sure. The barber seems really friendly and attentive, I hope they do well.
  6. I was out with my friend at the weekend who works for them and he tells me they've just bought a unit on LL - not sure where but we're going to have a TV/HIFI shop coming soon! Watch this space.
  7. Hi Damzel, I do support my local traders as much as I can but I think a supermarket in that bit of the lane would do no harm as at the moment it's not a very appealing area with the only 'local' traders to support is the DIY shop and a few non descript and over priced convenicence stores - which incidentally I do support. Bring on a supermarket to bring the top of the lane in line with the bottom! thanks
  8. Does anyone know what the row of empty shells at the top of Lordship Lane will be? It's below the new flats that are being built, across from Bombay Bycicle. It looks to me like it may be a Tesco Express or a Sainsbury's local, would be wonderful if it is!
  9. The suspence is killing me, please no more baby/gift shops tho!
  10. well I was in there for the first time with my mate just before xmas and it was amazing! We were chatting to the lovely waitress about the fact we were eating off of paper plates and plastic knives and forks, she said the water promlems were due to some politics the the shop next door, celestial celestial! Sounds like there being a bit of a nightmare.........
  11. Does anyone know what this place is and also where it's located? I heard on the grapevine there's lots of stalls and there's an oyster bar??
  12. Just moved into the area and this pub sounds interesting, where is it?
  13. oh this is awful, as a new owner of a cutie little puppy I'm sometimes down The Rye with him, I've just moved into ED, has anyone heard of this before as I don't like the sound of teaching poor wee archie to kill!!
  14. does anyone know what the shop is going to be on the corner of cafe nero?
