  1. Any tips on getting rid of squirrels that attic that keep seeming to find their way in despite my having blocked off all evident entry holes. Have also tried the ultra sonic remedy and moth balls (I know, I know.... but I was desperate!) and nothing has worked so far :(

It was a bit run down, dirty and shabby (albeit with a fair bit of local colour/character) when I lived in ED 25 years ago - paid a visit a few years ago (live in Crystal Palace now) and it was changed beyond belief along Lordship Lane. Went into a deli to buy some balsamic vinegar and had to beat a retreat - how much!? ::o Dullrich is boring beyond belief though - would almost certainly opt for ED if I had to choose between the two, which happily I don't, living up at the lofty summit :D
  3. This happened to me - as someone has suggested twice before, unscrew and remove the filter (mine accessible from a little flap at the bottom of the front of the machine) and give it a good clean if it is gunged up. Then put the load through yet another spin cycle. A mucky, slimy job but it solved the problem with me so perhaps worth a try.
  4. London weighting doesn't begin to recompense for the cost of living in the capital. I work in a govn dept that has sites in various parts of the uk and those on the same grade in the NE for example tend to live in decent sized houses whilst I can only afford a little flat. Still, it's my choice to live in London - for the time being at least....
  5. For goodness sake pepes - STOP FEEDING THE TROLL!

OP, if you can't see the litigation risks around running a website then rather than indulge in this pathetic whinging, set one up of your own where ' anything goes' and carry the risks yourself. Simples.

  9. BBW's long gone from STF.
  10. I also recall this post you made on an STF thread about a witnessed potential drug deal by some local kids: Re: Youths by Claudia Drezner ? 28 Jul 2011 12:18 OMG what colour were they? you never see jewish kids doing this kind of things Claudia Drezner So you are not without your own prejudices perhaps?
  11. Blimey Claudia - why did you bring it over here? The thread was over months ago on STF and BBW is long gone from the forum. As I understand it STF admin doesn't shy away from controversial topics but tries to keep things balanced. He locked the thread as it was in danger of being derailed but there were some balanced views as I recall.
  12. Or perhaps leave the whole business alone.....

  14. Well.... I know of other forums where such lambasting of a local trader would not have been allowed to continue due to the risk of unfair bias and/or litigation. Then again, on yet other forums anything goes. Maybe this is somewhere in-between. Personally, I find the whole thing a bit unpleasant,
  15. ratty Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Does this thread make anyone else slightly > uncomfortable? Mmm..... I am a little surprised the site allows such an undefended diatribe against a trader - but then again I guess nobody has named the individual/company.
  16. Don't get this reality show make-over thing - I would rather push a marble up Dog Kennel Hill with my nose than invite a tv crew into my abode.

  19. Christ .... doesn't this site have a spam filter?

LBC/BBC London/R4 for me.

  23. Good grief..... some of the current East Dullrich dwellers astound me. Nothing better to do than hound (pun intended) people trying to assist owners desperate to locate a much loved stolen pet. Please get a life folks.

So does Costcutters, and I would prefer to shop at Waitrose because I love their grub! Long live Waitrose http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/huepfen/jumping-smiley-024.gif
