I use a Three mifi device - ?18:99 per month for 15 GB. I chose it because it meant I could ditch a phone line (with all its associated line rental expense) and have a device that I could use at home or when travelling/at work. Other people/devices can use it simultaneously if you give them the pin code thingy. http://threestore.three.co.uk/mifi/mifiPlans.aspx?phonecode=HE586WIFI3 It works fine for me - but I don't do any heavy gaming etc. I use it mainly for browsing internet and downloading books/films etc. Only trouble is is that it is quite wee - match box size - so potentially easy to mislay.

Depends how it came about, to me anyway. Were they invited by paralympians to do what they did, or did they decide to do it themselves as a photo stunt?

Christ knows what's the attraction of that swollen/bumpy lip look - it makes me feel a bit nauseous...

I guess it's all relative to an extent (no pun intended!). A close friend of mine's elderly, arthritic (white caucasian) aunt lives in a part of outer London, as she has done for all her life. In the past, the area was predominately 'white', but is now largely multi-ethnic. She has mainly asian neighbours, and they apparently take great care of her - they do her shopping and her gardening and she apparently feels fortunate. Having arrived in London at the tender aged of 18 from a town where all were white caucasian (or whatever the term is nowadays) and being immersed in the multi-cultural capital and NHS - where I worked for several years - I have never looked back. I like living in a diverse, multi-cultural city - I do however think that integration could be improved in parts.

acm - being amongst asians does not equate to being unsafe...

Trouble is this thread is an irresistible platform for nutjobs like NN and UDT - and they will no doubt carry regurgitating their twaddle for eons unless admin closes the thread down or there is a limit on the number of posts (is there? one can but hope...).

I have never been able to open a can of baked beans (which I lurve) without thinking of a news story years ago where someone opened up a can of beans and tipped out not only the little golden/red ball of yumness but a perfectly cooked mouse http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/wuerg/vomit-smiley-019.gif

I would imagine that the overtime budget for the force has been spent several times over during the recent riots - maybe they just haven't enough money to police marches at the moment and need a breather. Just a thought..

NN, your writing style and somewhat unbalanced view reminds me of a 15 year old with a dictionary to hand.... you're not a 15 year old with a dictionary are you? (no offence to 15 year olds with dictionaries!).

I gather that they will be practising at CP - added to which the Brazilian Women's Beach Volleyball will be descending upon CP in the lead up to the games (which has caused local gents to perk up somewhat!). Edited to add that the Brazilian Olympic team will be using CP as their training base - so a bit of a perk up for the ladeez too! http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,735424,735911#msg-735911

Oh dear... this thread is annoyingly stuck in a rut, but I keep getting drawn back to it like a moth to a flame - that and the fact that I am holding out for the unlikely miracle of both sides politely shaking hands and agreeing to differ!

Quite! (at least I 'read' your post - I don't even bother with richardbach's. If he does have useful points to make they will sadly invariably be lost as people just can't be bothered trying to decipher).

Up on the (Crystal Palace) hill we have heard a rumour that the manager of the ED Tavern (as opposed to the Antic group themselves) has bought The Alma. The Alma still seems to be limping along though so it may be down to chinese whispers...
