  1. Wouldn?t dream of physically abusing cat. Could be a trap - remember what happened to the lady who was caught on camera putting a cat in a wheelie bin? Ridgely if stalker-cat looked anything like the one above I would move out and let it move in.
  2. This cat is so agressive I would fear for the life of any dog that tried to take it on.
  3. I am being stalked by a large, beige coloured cat, which appears out of nowhere and tries to bulldoze its way into my house whenever I get home late at night. I know (s)he has an owner, (s)he wears a bright blue collar and seems well fed. Before opening my front door, I now look over my shoulder to check that the path is clear.
  4. There are lots of free things to do in London: "THE RESTAURANT SHOW 2011" at EARL'S COURT 2 EXHIBITION CENTRE 10-12 October 2011 (free event if booked in advance) The Restaurant Show ( http://www.therestaurantshow.co.uk ) now in its 23rd year, is an excellent chance to watch leading chefs demonstrate their skills, and sample food and drink from around the world. To register, go to http://tinyurl.com/5u3yf4y and complete the requested details. You should do so in good time, as once on-line booking has closed, registration will only be possible on the day (and last year this cost 25 pounds). Suggest you put "word of mouth" in the section where you have to say how you heard about the show. You should receive your name badge by e-mail before the event. Please note that this is a "trade only" event, so no "under 18s" will be admitted. If you are a student, suggest that you do not include this information (if you do, it restricts you to going with your course tutor, and at certain times), but that you complete the application form creatively, to show that you are in some way connected with the restaurant trade. The event runs from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 October. Do not forget to take your name badge with you! For a street map, see http://tinyurl.com/5j9dss .
  5. Who said there's no such thing as a free lunch. I would like to start a thread listing some of the great music and performances free in London this weekend. Nahini Doumbia & Les Espoirs du Mali Friday 16 September 2011 5:30pm Mali's master drummer Nahini Doumbia is one of Africa's finest djembe players and a key member of The Master Drummers of Africa. Today he leads his ensemble Les Espoirs Du Mali for a dazzling showcase of the power of djembe drums in Malian music. There's a host of free events ranging from soul to funk, gospel to reggae at the South Bank Centre this weekend. Have a look at their website. http://ticketing.southbankcentre.co.uk/search/results/free Does anyone know of any other free event in London this weekend?
  6. I would be interested in finding out how many times the numerous meat and food shops in Peckham Rye are inspected by the council?s environmental health officers. Last week I was out shopping and the stench from the numerous shops was unbelievable. Is it legal for a shop to sell meat, fish, clothes and phone cards from the same premises?
  7. My neighbour arranges for our shared bin to be washed and lined by a man with a van. I think he comes round every two weeks. I will ask her for his contact details and post it.

    Ethiopia

I've been reliably informed that God goes to Ethiopia for his holidays
  9. I?d like to start a petition to retain the current route of the No 12 bus. The diversion is ideal for me, Barry road to Whitehall, avoiding the congested route of Peckham and Camberwell. My journey now takes 45mins, at least it would if it wasn?t for those commuters who board the bus and bully the driver into letting them off at the stops between East Dulwich Road and Kings College Hospital.
  10. Is there anything you can do about the number of betting shops in Peckham/East Dulwich. I counted at least 10 between Peckham Rye and Camberwell. I was under the impression that they had to apply for a special license?
