Does anyone know how you get them on waiting list for lessons?I would love my son to have lessons . He has just turned 4

is this all through the summer hoildays ?

I hope so goosemum. Just wish the school was a bit easier to get to for us. Great news for you Gina - really pleased for you. I agree it has been a very hard couple of months - very stressful indeed and certainly did not expect this .

Hi i',m sorry I can't be much help other than from my direction all the buses (176. 185, 40 ) take you down to the Sainsbury then cut across the little ally . But think you are coming the other way so maybe that is no help at all!! But just wanted to say - lucky you - I loved the school when I looked around it. I am praying I get offered a place before September but not sure with these waiting lists. Can I ask what position you were if you don't mind me asking? I didn't get any of my school choice and starting to lose all hope. Sorry to have crashed this thread. x

I find it a bit unfair that some people are renting houses close to certain schools to get their children into them and then move back to their house when they are in the school. Feel that people who do this can surly afford private education?

Don't give up , I met someone yesterday who was 50 something on the list for Ivydale last year and got a place on the first day of term. I do reckon Bessemer is a really strong chance for you too.

This waiting list thing does drive you mad ! I can't work out what is really happening. I haven't moved at all on the Goodrich list since day 1 but have moved far far away on the others. Its just a bit odd as I do know people who have moved down the waiting list. I am just trying to stay positive.

Yes it's great . I worked in Denmark where they starting forest schools over 10 years ago. It is a fantastic thing for children .

They use the woods to do den building !!

Just wanted to add that Langbourne Schools offers Forest School facilities. Think that is fantastic. I hope they add it to their website soon so people can see.

Thank you LondonMix that makes sense. I am 15th for one school that I think has a 3 year intake. The others I am miles off - 56 , 43. 29 etc so have been wondering how likely I am to get a school of my choice for September.

can anyone explain precisely how the waiting lists work. If people are accepting schools but the staying on the waiting lists for other schools how does it change ?

Gina, you can call the Horniman . I called and they were lovely and very helpful. Sadly I am miles down the list and found out today that I have moved down the list at Goodrich so even further away ! It is a total nightmare !

if I don't get a place at a school by next Jan then I guess I apply for a place in year 1 for him? all very confusing . Maybe worrying too much in advance . Just feeling things are looking rather bleak.

If you don't get a school on your list and still don't get one on all the waiting lists do you stay on the waiting list for as long as it takes to get into a school. Does that make sense????

Gina , I am in the same boat as you . I think maybe I am slightly closer to Goodrich and you are closer to Eliot Bank than I am but think I am in the same black hole as you - maybe we are neighbours!. I know how you are feeling it is so so stressful. I am praying that I will get one of my choices as on all thee waiting lists. I can't get to Langbourne as etc. just wanted to say I know how you are feeling and you are not alone.

Hi everyone I am 21 on the list for Goodrich - please someone tell me I stand a chance? I am so worried. Not been offered any of my 6 and Goodrich and Horniman are my closest schools. Just a bit of hope might keep me going !

Hi Cora, you have answered my questions too - thank you. I have decided to decline my offer as it is also really hard to get to . Just two quick questions - do you decline the offer online ? and how on earth do they rank people on the waiting list? Sorry maybe asking really silly questions.
