  1. My only criticism of DF (the online version at least) is that he seems to be genuinely incapable of saying "hands up, I was wrong about that", even when presented with irrefutable facts. Gets quite frustrating. `And there was the time he ASKED FOR FEEDBACK about a website he was putting together, but then took offence at or argued with every single comment, even though lots of people were giving him the same advise. But that aside he's a nice fella.

Annoyingly Chelsea for seem to do really good business. They were talking on the radio yesterday about the fees they've managed to get for players that either they've had the best out of, or who just didn't do well there. Bastards
  3. My sister used to have a couple of chinchillas funnily enough. One of them bit her nose when she was drunk and on her hands and knees cooing at it. Made me laugh. They were lovely. Very fast!

No, Pearse just isn't a particularly good manager. Bless him.

Agree that it's unfair clubs drop down from CL, totally devalues the competition too. Would rather Liverpool not have to play in it, but we're in it so hope they give a good account of themselves.
  6. I totally forgot this week (just remembered and put in a prediction for the last match) and hold RD 100% responsible.

But you may be right. Charlton used to do pretty well in the PL some years back, and would always fall away towards the end of a season. Friends of mine who support them were convinced that they had an "avoid europe" agenda.

The thought of a team not wanting to push for the highest position they can possibly acheive kind of flies in the face of "sport".

As someone who thinks the 100s game hasn't been interesting since it was Quids' "thing" several years ago, you're very welcome.

The sequel deserves more respect than it gets. Michelle Pfeiffer in tight leather trousers gets my vote any day.

AM I think you are enjoying winding Quids and Maxxi up over West Ham, but the facts are there to see. They play one formation, they do well. They play his preferred formation, they get beat. I was obviously pleased with yesterday, but I quite like West Ham, and it is a shame to see them being held back, which in my opinion (for what it's worth) they are by BFS's backwards thinking.
  13. Are we talking food shopping or clothes shopping *shudders*?
  14. I was starting to like him. Then I went to the O2 and saw him barely win a game against Federer, thus rather disappointing my mate and I who had hoped to see a match. Bastard.
  15. Well said miga. There were some horrid looking estates (Haygate I'm looking at you), but equally there was no need to knock it down, Southwark could have updated it for less money than they've had to spend on the shambolic arrangements with Lend Lease. But at the end of the day it was unsightly, and knocking it down gave them the perfect chance rid the borough of those unsightly residents. Personally I hate the Barbican, but I know poeple that think it's wonderful. Different folks and all that. But in terms of interior, give me a large open spacious flat over a pokey victorian or 1930s house any day. I used to think having a garden was important to me, but had one for 5 years until last Feb, rarely used it, and haven't missed it at all except for no birthday BBQ.
  16. Anything can last 150 years if they are maintained. There is the difference.

Not sure I agree, many of these blocks still stand and house lots of people. My parent's Victorian house in ED only got an indoor toilet about 1975. Basically there's an element of snobbery in people being so desperate to live in a Victorian house.

Yeah that definitely plays a bit part.
  19. The KFC Hotdog looks absolutely vile. And I like KFC (gravy rocks). Used to like the Maccas banana milkshakes a lot as a kid, but suffered from a lot of migraines as a teenager, and had particularly bad one on a day when I'd had a milkshake, and haven't been able to touch them in the 20 odd years since. Best urban myth was that KFC were farming freak chickens with 8 legs or whatever, and that they'd changed the name to KFC because they were not allowed to use the word Chicken. All utter bollocks, but good fun.
  20. I used to quite often have a chicken legend, but am really off maccas of late. Except the breakfast, I do like a McMuffin and treat myself probably 2 - 4 times a month. Used to be way more, but I am feeling fat and trying to cut down on crap food.

When did you last rent?

Don't really disagree, but worth noting that Liverpool were hardly blowing teams away in the early season so not sure how big a test it really was.
