    Breaking Bad

Ooo, dunno, was probably having a quick smoke. Will watch later.
  3. Yes that is undoubtedly true, things like Disney don't help, but there are plenty of people out there who will do the whole pink for girls and blue for boys thing, and that isn't peer pressure. The peer pressure comes later once the kids who aren't wearing the pink go to preschool and get told that pink is for girls.
  4. Have you ever considered that it's not people like you that they're aiming for? Little girls only wear so much pink because they have mum's (and dad'd) who dress them in it...

    Breaking Bad

According to Wikipedia there were talks with the Jessie actor (Aaron somebody?) but he says it isn't happening. That's not to say it won't though. Talks with Hank and Skylar have also happened apparently, so suspect we'll see some familiar faces in the future. It also says it's both a prequel (it's set in 2002) and a sequel dealing with some of the aftermath of BB, so will be interesting to see how that all works out. I could be wrong, but I think there are plenty of poeple out there who'd like to know what became of both Saul and Jessie after BB.

"Various Pets Alive and Dead" by Marina Lewycka (she of Ukranian tractor fame) gives a funny and probably largely accurate view of hippies.
  7. We bought our flat last year through Foxtons and thought they were pretty good to be fair. Although that's probably because it was through the new CP Office, but being managed by someone from their Streatham office. They were doing a commission free intro offer, and so had no motivation to find other buyers to gazump us.

And by "nasty character" do you mean the one that pops up at the end of episode 1? In which case, yeah, I smiled when I saw him.

    Breaking Bad

Ooo, there was only one available on Monday. Will have to check out episode 2 tonight.
  10. This from Late Knights most recent blog (which was written new years eve) "The next pub we will be doing is the Alexandra in Penge. We get lots of people begging us for news about this pub, and the repeated line from us has always been 'we are waiting for planning permission to come through' That is the case. Hopefully is we get it granted in early Jan we will be 3 months away from opening. There is a lot of work to do here and we are silly excited by it. We will be doing lots of amazing food and selling bucket loads of our own beer, it really will be a Penge pub for a Penge brewery!" Make it so!!!
  11. But what EXACTLY is the problem with it? Is it simply that it's pink?

    Breaking Bad

First episode is on Netflix. We watched it Monday evening, and I for one thought it was really good. Nice to learn all about Saul's backstory, and some familiar faces popping up.
  13. Why exactly is it patronising? Is this patronising? http://imgs.tuts.dragoart.com/how-to-draw-a-cancer-ribbon-breast-cancer-ribbon_1_000000009676_3.jpg
  14. Yes sorry, beer rebellion. Wisdh Late Knights would hurry up and open the Alexandra in Penge. About a 2 minute stumble from my front door.

Yep, quality player, but doesn't fit Rogers' style, and Rogers doesn't seem to be the type to bend at all. You can't expect a player to totally change to fit in, otherwise you'll lose their best atributes. Surely they can meet half way? Last night he gets a chance in the box, and he scores. Says it all. And yeah, either side would have been worthy winners. Liked the way Spurs went for it, they didn't look like an away team.

But more importantly, what a bloody match last night! Obviously I was happy with the end result, but hand on heart I was well in to it like I've not been in to a match for quite a while. Great entertainment. Loved how Balotelli was chasing everything and wasting time at the end. Spurs p[layers looked like they wanted to slap him (understandably).

I'll believe that when I see it. But at least more and more people are calling for it, and the clubs really can't justify not doing it. However they'll say something along the lines of "to continue to provide the best league in the world it is important that we invest this money in the best talent otherwise they'll go elsewhere". Bit like bankers and bonuses innit.
  18. The term "Craft beer" makes me want to hit something. Nothing against the actual products, just the name. I wouldn't spend over ?6 on a pint, and if I did spend ?6 I'd expect that pint to be pretty bloody special. Beer revolution is cheaper than your average pub, and their beers are great. It's about honest pricing.
  19. Did you ever see this Louisa? http://crystalpalacetoilets.blogspot.co.uk/
  20. Parks should definitely have loos, but can't see public loos on the steets making a comeback anytime soon.
  21. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > CM - probably because Foxtons like to project a > corporate/high-end image. Really? I always thought they were the "Daily Star" option.
  22. Even though I personally think pop choirs represent everything that is wrong in the world, and make me want to burst my own eardrums with knitting needles, I have to say that this was a bloody great idea, especially in an area like ED/Peckham. Fair play for coming up with it.
  23. More public toilets would be good, but in these days of cuts to local authority budgets I can't see it happening, because even if the toilets were there, they wouldn't pay for the upkeep.
  24. If it is cabbies pissing in bottles I can understand that. But what I don't understand is why they're not dropping them in one of the many bins on our streets instead of leaving them on street corners. All very odd and a wonderful mystery.
  25. I'm interested in what the good people on here think is a reasonable distance for a KS1 child to be travelling to school? (I don't mean what the guidelines are, I know those very well as it's my job. I'm interested in what people think)
