Never been Noel Gallagher's biggest fan, but enjoyed him on MOTD tonight. He comes across as a genuine City fan who still can't quite believe where they are but is loving besting United.

But that isn't the player's fault. When they've not played that old style Carroll has also done well. Plus I don't mind a bit of argy bargy mixed in with the beautiful game.
  3. 8 years this Thursday since you registered Lou. Of course you could have posted a few before registering as some of us did in those early days, but official date is 26/02/2008.
  4. Don't be put off, just remember that some people think because it's the internet and not "real life" that they can just say exactly what they want without applying the tact and manners that they would if talking face to face. Either that or they're just exceptionally rude people, OR they lack the capacity to see how their. comments will affect others.

Lou has been fooling people and getting a rise out of people for 8 years (her forum birthday is this week). Yes it may get old when you've been around a while but I still take pleasure in seeing people respond to her. Long live Lou.

Nolan yes,not sure that's fair to Carroll.
  7. You said (and I agree) "poor fox". Which is in no way a judgement on the poster, unlike some of the comments on this thread.
  8. Bit different though isn't it. Having an opinion on the use of animal fur is not the same as feeling the need to judge how someone chooses to parent.

Perfect result if Liverpool can win their match.
  11. The "house price card" is not really just a card though is it? If you're paying London rents (even sharing with others), it's going to take a hell of a long time to save a deposit. Don't get me wrong, I'm basically with *bob*, and couldn't wait to get out of my parent;s at 18, and was horrified at having to move back for a few months aged about 25 (although it was fine really). I guess the point is that you have no idea what people's individual circumstances are, so you shouldn't judge too quickly. That all said, if you are an adult living with your parents you do need to remember that you're an adult and not allow yourself to revert back to your teens and expect everything to be done / paid for, for you.
  12. This was quite interesting about Gennady Golovkin earlier in the week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/31316042
  13. I love FB, but on the "check in" thing I'm with you Lou.
  14. Right, we need to find somewhere to watch this. I'd be happy to chip in to a PPV, but can't offer my place as a venue.
  15. Titles are on the line. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/31484837
  16. Sounds horrific, my sympathies.
  17. We will be having a new cooker.
  18. Behave Lou.
  19. Oh, No. Not if it's actually been deactivated.
  20. Can't you just PM them? Who is it?
  21. I'm a 37 year old bloke with a mortgage and two kids of my own, yet my mum always says there is a room for me if I ever needed it, and she's always trying to help us financially (she wants to buy us a new cooker because the one we inherited with our flat is a bit of a death trap). You never stop being a parent, it's nothing to do with keeping your kids tied to the apron strings. And of course young (and not so young) people share accommodation with others. If RPD has friends with spoilt kids who couldn't imagine that, then that says more about RED'S choice of friends than parents in general.
  22. Anyway, been thinking about this more since posting earlier, and to the OP I implore you not to move to Newham. If ED is what you like, then there is NOTHING for you there! And it's not trendy "edgy" East London either. I do know a lass from Crystal Palace who lives in Stratford and loves it, and there are good things about it (very good primary schools if you're planning a family), but for vibe and feel, they would struggle to be more different from this corner of SE London.

Same true of much of > London...although not West Ham, UP or Plaistow OP > :) As you say, it's a personal thing. Basically all my mates have moved away, so ED just doesn't have a lot to offer me any more except 1. Visiting my parents or sister 2. Dulwich Hamlet 3. Occasionally meeting Jah Lush to watch football in The Castle / Plough. I agree with you that ED was never a shit hole like some suggest. It didn't have the things that people find nice now, but that's because nowhere had those things. I also don't think the area has become snobby and entitled, but that's not to say there aren't some people like that there, but you get tools in every area. I think really it just depresses me a bit because the people and places I loved are all gone, so the area makes me a bit melancholy.
  24. Same daughter once dropped my ipod touch down the loo and it spent a good minute under water. Two days later it was fine.
  25. Jeremy my 5 year old has a Galaxy S3. No SIM obviously, but when I upgraded she got my old phone for games.
