Yes, thanks DF. I actually learnt that before I'd left primary school. But when people say "read the dots" they are not talking about the dots, they are talking about the notes, and they are annoying.

I can't believe they've actually dropped 15 points this season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tables

How much do your charge for these beers which you pay ?2.10 for?

What Jah and RD said. I'd be very happy to see Liverpool lift the Europa League cup, but the competition is very badly organised, and should be reviewed. It's not all about 4th at all, I want to finish as high as possible, and I want to see the club win cups. What I don't want it a cup competition that just screws up league pregress. You'd understand if your team faced any sort of challenge every weekend.

The singer of our band does stage work for a living and he set up those stairs.

Can't say as I'm remotely upset to be out of that competition to be honest. We had too many players missing anyway. Now for top 4!

Only 4 more home games this season, and one of those is a Monday night. Boo! Although I'm going to the last game of the season away to Tonbridge Angels. Good chance to catch up with former Dulwich mate who now lives out that way.

I don't disagree that she has every right to be pissed off, and I very much regret mistakenly posting what was meant to be a PM. I won't however be a hypocrite and suddenly say it was all wrong. Different folks different strokes. Salsaboy looked forward to her irrational rage posts, I thought they were depressingly negative. But I hope she hasn't gone, and hope she wouldn't go because of what a few people that she already thinks are a clique have said. I thought she was spunkier than that, and would actually be a bit disappointed if she didn't come out fighting. I know nothing much about the person, and I have absolutely nothing against the person, I just find some of her posts needlessly abrupt / judgemental / rude. But I am more than happy to apologise if I have caused upset, and it wasn't intentional. And in my defence, I would bet everything I own that I'm not the first to write a PM about someone on here. But Quids, you calling other people holier than thou is a joke. I actually (can't believe I'm saying this) look up to you and respect a lot of your opinions, but your whole "I'm above all that" thing is really quite grating.

No it isn't. Nothing is making them take over except for their innate desire to go faster. It is them that is to blame, no speed limit has gotten in to their car and made them drive like arseholes.
-
On both this thread and the one in the lounge people have said that a 20mph zone would "cause overtaking". That is simply not true. What "causes" overtaking is arseholes that think the rules don't apply to them and that they have the right to drive as fast as the bloody well like thank you very much.

Perhaps not, and I agree that the post was sexist. But take away the gender bit, and I agree that there are quite a number of people out there (male or female) who do seem to think they have some God given right to drive and rule the roads.

I didn't immediately jump on them, I asked nicely how s/he knew these things that they were saying. They then said it didn't matter how they knew, they just knew. Which in my opinion is not worthy of being taken seriously.

Dentist told us recently that there is none in the water in London (apparently Birmingham is the place to be). This is a problem when you have a 3.5 year old who fights with all she has to avoid toothpaste.

For the record I didn't say anything about libel, that was another poster. I said "Basically Rhamnousia you come across as someone with an axe to grind and a personal agenda. You won't explain yourself, so I think we should all take your posts on this with a pinch of salt." And I'll stick with that. Not like a single other person has agreed with you.

Probably an element of truth to it though.

baroldmc I think you'd be better of just starting a thread about the Palestine question, because that is clearly the thing you actually want to talk about. At the time of the George Galloway debacle I did say on my FB page that I thought it was very poor form from the BBC, and whilst I am no fan of Galloway, I felt he was set up, and SOME of the Jewish people they had planted in the crowd really just made themselves look stupid.

For what it's worth, this post wasn't meant to be public, I'd meant to send SJ a PM and didn't realise my mistake until it had been commented on. Now this could be looked at as worse (PMing one poster about another), I get that. But I wanted to clarify that I hadn't intended to start a public put down of anybody. That is the honest truth. -
Lots of classical musicians do that. I agree it's rubbish.
