  1. Haha, late night drinking in a kebab shop. You wouldn't see that sort of thing in Dulwich! Oh, hang on...
  2. Yeah having to pay for the little pots of sauce is taking the piss. GBK definitely not cheap.
  3. I'm not unsympathetic, pf course it would be dreadful, and money wouldn't change that. My point is simply that sad as this is for these people, they are a tiny number, and the vaccination likely did way way more good than bad.
  4. Keep meaning to give TWD a go.
  5. Ooo, that could be it. Rick = Dick, Grime = dirty. Reckon you've got it AqM, and very well done. Aw This Life, so shouldn't have ended like it did. Never watched the reunion years later.

I'm sure the substantial financial payout they'll receive will more than make up for lack of apology. I do have sympathy with the unlucky ones, but at odds of 1 in 55k, I would call the risk pretty insignificant. > Otta Lucky you and me to have a choice, at others > expense, Being as my family and I all had thinning 2009 I'm not sure what you're saying. I do remember that injection really hurting as they pressed the plunger, and I'm fine with needles.
  7. Urban Hymns must have shifted tons of copies, every fucker seemed to have it. Hate that bloody album!
  8. Frank Zappa "Bobby Brown going down".
  9. You've got me mate. Does the sunnier (side up) suggest some egg reference or should I forget that?
  10. But not the classic "hawaiian" which is boring.

  12. Didn't the rolling Stones take the verve to court over bittersweet symphony?
  13. 8th April? Bloody hell, that's a bit of a way off.
  14. Oh for the love of God. No one was suggesting that the area is crap, just that it's a crap place for a pub. If it wasn't, then the pub would probably still be open. If it reopened it would do well for a month whilst everyone gave it a go, then they'd realise there was a pub much closer to home, and wouldn't bother again. I thought it would have worked well as a Wetherspoons (bit like the Fox on the hill), but for a person to try and open it on their own would be crazy IMO. Not that I know much about starting a business.
  15. Just read this http://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/sep/19/swine-flu-vaccine-narcolepsy-uk "The government U-turn follows a major study of four- to 18-year-olds by the Health Protection Agency which found that around one in every 55,000 jabs was associated with narcolepsy. A spokesman for GSK said it had details of around 900 people from 14 countries who had narcolepsy and were vaccinated." I'm sorry but I think I'd take those odds.

  17. The Blurred Lines thread got me thinking about songs which are a bit "wrong". Found this link http://whatculture.com/music/20-most-controversial-songs-of-all-time.php But can't believe their number 1 is "Used to love her" by GNR. I always thought that song was a joke about one of their dogs, and it definitely isn't the worst song on that EP (that would be "One in a million"). Two songs which sprang to my mind and which I've always thought were wrong even though I like the band, are "Brown Sugar" and "Under my thumb" by the Stones.
  18. You're probably right about that *bob*. I just read the whole thing, and it does get rather more blatant by verse 3. But again, it's not the worst stuff I've ever seen in a song.

  20. It's totally sexist / misogynistic, but not sure about "rapey". Although "Talk about getting blasted I hate these blurred lines I know you want it" Could suggest date rape I guess. And I couldn't bring myself to read past the first chorus.
  21. I do like their lamb burger with hummus and stuff. But I believe GBK will only do well done or medium, don't think they do rare (this is based on.memory of comments on this very forum, not personal experience). But if you have a burger rare doesn't it all just get soggy with blood? I love a bloody steak, but soggy buns sound grim.
  22. And yeah, what Jezza said RE the song as a whole.
  23. Have seen lots of comments that they are "rapey". I'm not sure I'd agree looking at the lyrics. But when viewed with the video you can see why people have a problem with the overall package.
  24. Well done EP.
  25. Nope. I am human. I sound like orange cheese.
