  1. You might be right, but that doesn't disprove what I said.
  2. Reports now coming through of a gunman with a couple of hostages in a jewelers somewhere in France. WTF?

Good one.
  4. Loz that's hardly the first female suicide bomber. I was talking about the people from western countries who are getting involved, the majority of whom are youngish men.

Running in to an office and executing a bunch of unarmed people is pretty cowardly.
  6. My missus puts the whole islamic extremist thing down to stupid immature boys who want to be able to do whatever they like and own women. I don't think she's that far off the mark to be honest.
  7. Also they're not really attacking islam, they're attacking morons like IS, and they need to be attacked because they are morons.
  8. Do you mean the Hillsborough comment? Inside to my wife last night "he'll be resigning in the morning".
  9. Beer is my main problem. Although I put weight on in October when I was off the booze but craving a load of sweet shite as a result.
  10. Yeah, it's far woirse now than it was in the 1970s... Oh wait...
  11. I've never been slim, but for the first time in my life my weight is bothering me. Feel really unfit and heavy, and need to drop a stone. But I won't.
  12. What Loz said.
  13. From http://www.urban75.net/forums/forums/dulwich-hamlet-fc.93/ (this is the place for detailed info and fan chat, not here on the EDF) "Not too much of note. Dicko played in a holding role again, which as pompeydunc mentioned during the match, is strange given his goalscoring exploits whilst at Lewes. It was very much a friendly - 11 changes to the team at half time. Lodgey unfortunately had to go off about 10mins into the 2nd half due to a nasty clash of heads. We weren't sure who the 2nd half number 9 was, although Champion_hill commented that he had previously seen him around the club."
  14. Jesus Christ. NO!!! But blaming it on that is sending out a really bad message.
  15. Yeah I get that (but thanks for clueing me in). The point is that I would rather the club just say "we've decided not to sign him". Saying "we're not signing him because threats have been made" basiocally tells the world "you can get your way, just make threats of violence".
  16. No doubt that plays a part, but when you read "A club director told BBC sports editor Dan Roan that a staff member was told a named relative would be raped if the deal went ahead." it makes you (well me anyway) feel pretty sick.

Well no, not really I suppose. But I do hope that any dick head who has threatened anyone's family gets their collar felt.

  19. Yep, latest on beeb "Oldham pull out of Evans deal Posted at 11:55 "Oldham board member tells us deal to sign Ched Evans is OFF due to 'enormous pressure from sponsors and threats to staff and their families.'" "Threats to staff and their families"? I mean FFS! Reminds me of when Judy Finnigan semi supported him (by saying it wasn't a violent rape). People were so upset by that that they did what? That's right, they threatened to rape her daughter. We live in a country with a scarily large number of really really really feckin stupid people. I'm no supporter of Evans, but stories like this make me start to want a club to gamble on him.
  20. They could have at least had the decency to blow themselves up whilst they were at it. Cunts
  21. BBC says "Terms with the Welsh striker, 26, have been agreed and the deal is close to being finalised despite a backlash, including a 60,000-strong petition. However, there are still legal issues to overcome which could cause a delay."
  22. If those stores are making money they'll remain open. if they're not, they won't.
  23. I think Poppies are good. But I do agree with LadyD about seeing the politicians wearing them with grim expressions plastered on their faces. This is not a dig at the Tories, they're all as bad. Gordon Brown used to carry it off pretty well, but he had a lot on his mind so it's no surprise the grim expression looked genuine.
  24. I guess I just don't get the role model thing because I had no interest in football as a kid, and my daughter just likes the songs, she hasn't a clue when's playing.
