  2. A uni lecturer can also be an internet troll to be fair. I actually think that whether Davis is a troll or not (he probably is), correcting a person's spelling or grammar does not an argument win. It's a pet peeve of mine.

Different folks different strokes. I'd rather see them have a real go at the big boys.
  5. A tenner an hour to do that job? No thanks!
  6. Anyone know what an average bus driver earns? I was gobsmacked the other day when a colleague was looking at jobs and showed me what you can earn diving a London Overground train. I know bus drivers will be a lot less, just wondering roughly what they're on.
  7. I don't think RPC was praising Tony B or New Labour, I think the point was that it was an attractive cause for them as it won votes of those that simply like to sock it to the toffs. Going on about Iraq every time New Labour get a mention is about as helpful as going on about coal mines closing every time someone praises the right to buy. And I say that as someone that never voted for Blair's Labour.

I don't however agree that "The only people who think fox hunting is a class war issue are it's supporters". I think that's a total nonsense, and there are blatantly plenty of people who are against it more out of wanting to stop the toff's having their fun than out of any particular interest in the fox's welfare.

Yeah, that's called sport. Fans of the team in 4th place have every right to expect their best side to run out against the team in 1st. It's called competition innit.
  10. Hope everyone is having a nice day. We're in ED with the family but will be back in the Penge massive this evening.
  11. Gonna be a loooooong day if we can't get the kids out to burn some energy!

It will arc as high as 45 degrees before disappearing 10 degrees above the horizon to the south east." Alas I won't be with my kids at 5:22pm, but for those of you that will, this could be fun.
  13. Oi! I did loads of work yesterday. Admitedly I rocked up at 11 this morning and hope to be sent home by 2 latest. Do need to finish these two reports before I go though, so best get on.

Those ARE actually useful if you wear glasses. Other than that I've never found a use for them.
  15. Foxy on the case. He does have his uses ;-)

All the proof you'll ever need that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an utter cock. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30589052
  18. I have loads to do today. Then tomorrow will be sitting in the office waiting for them to release us. Then off til the 5th, hurrah!
  19. I too am BT and was getting that same error message on home PC last night.
  20. Well I just looked at their website, and they've still managed to completely sell out. Sounds absolutely horrific to me.

I had a meal last week at some posh do in London (I was "staff" but we got fed) and it included mashed sprout, or sprout pur?e or some such bollocks. Was surprisingly nice. I was put off sprouts as a kid by my mum boiling all hell out of them. Evil bitter little bastards.
  22. Yep, had a shared lunch today, so everyone is just say here looking like they want to fall asleep. I know I do.
  23. So first post on this thread for three weeks. I totally agree that those letting them off late at night this weekend need a slap, but is it really fair to be calling for a total ban rather than just addressing the idiots that have no consideration?
  24. I was gutted you missed it too, you were the main reason I sacked off my mate's get together for the footy! Bad Tillie! ;-)
