Where did I say that? Some of those measures make perfect sense. Do you believe that some cyclists get knocked off their bikes because they're idiots on the road? -
Maybe, maybe not. But the Remy situation certainly suggests they intended, and perhaps still do, to bring in other options.

Sorry, I was talking about the primary school, not the secondary.

We moved close to Harris Crystal Palace (it's in Penge!!!) and went to visit a while ago with a view to possibly moving our daughter there. I was VERY impressed with the early years and their attitude to SEN. They showed us some of the student's year books, and it was absolutely amazing compared to what we've had from her current school. Less impressed with the fact my younger daughter would have to wear uniform to nursery if we choose to send her there in September, but that's not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I think you're probably right. I'm neither motorist or cyclist by the way. -

No, no it doesn't. Because we don't know how many of those killed were killed because they were stupid. And you've not acknowledged the point that it doesn't matter how skilled a driver might be, there will still be accidents because there are stupid cyclists and pedestrians all over the place. Not a majority of course, but plenty about. You seem incapable of acknowledging this just because you might be a good cyclist. -
Lambert must have expected to be a bit part payer when he signed. If anything he must be rubbing his hands together because I think he's now likely to get a real crack at the first team. And I think he's got what it takes, it's just a shame the years are against him.

I do take this point, but however skilled drivers are, there will always be accidents because of stupid cyclists and pedestrians. Nearly 5 times more pedestrians than cyclists killed in London last year, and they don't even travel in the road. -
Well I used to have a ponytail at various stages, but agree totally that balding blokes should definitely not have them, which is why I got rid. I hate that I have a bald patch, but it's undeniable. And unfortunately I don't suit a grade 1 all over which is what I feel like doing when I see a photo of the back of my head.

I was wondering that too. Never heard of it.

You just quoted my post which said "neither of them", so clearly I don't think that, no.
-
Oh. Well I guess that's reasonably interesting, and I'm sure that'll please quite a few people. Not exacvtly something fun though.

No that isn't the root of the problem. And the "blaming the victim" thing is beneath you. If a cyclist gets killed because of someone's bad driving, that is the driver's fault. If a cyclist gets killed because of bad/stupid cycling, that is their fault. As a peestrian, if I take a stupid risk and run out in front of a bus because I can't wait a few seconds on the pavement, then it is my fault if I get squashed. I can't say "it's the fault of the bus because it's big and heavy". -

You're probably right mako, but I think the point about the lights is that it helps others to see that you're there rather than it helps you to see them. -

4. Stop the Killing of Cyclists - invest ?15 billion in a National Segregated Cycle Network over the next 5 years. ?15 billion? Is the person that wrote this having a complete and utter f**king laugh? Seriously? We;re a bit strapped for cash at the moment. -
ETA: This is response to PD's post And at the risk of repeating myself, no, I wouldn't suggest that at all. But I think it's been pretty much proven that they're not going to win in a fight. I stand by all of my earlier comments, but Israel are no longer responding to rocket attacks, they are now full on trying to wipe Hamas out (and failing miserably). Netanyahu is looking more and more like a man that is actually enjoying this. BUT, despite feeling this, I will still stand by my suggestion that if you strip away all the weaponry and get the two "sides" (not that they represent their people very well) in a room, neither of them would be interested in peace, and dare I say it, especially Hamas.

I only went in a handful of times when it was the last place open after a long session elsewhere (or indeed a wedding). Not really my cup of tea at all, but had nothing against the place, it's nice that there is an option for differet people and age groups (basically I'd probably have quite liked the place in my early to mid 20s, it's just not for me now). So for me it's a shame that it's gone, and I hope something interesting takes it's place, and not just another bar/pub with the same feel as every other bar/pub in the area, because that seems to be the danger these days. Not that I ever actually go to any bars / pubs in that or any other area these days.

Lambert may find himself playing a bigger role than he'd expected.

Okay, Benjamin Netanyahu is just taking the piss now. If your objective is collapse tunnels then just collapse them. And yet Ismail Haniyeh continues to say "The destruction of stones will not break our will and we will continue our resistance until we gain freedom.". I'm sure the average man and woman if Gaza is over the bloody moon to hear that.

Nothing is wrong with my mistake. But nice to have some choice.
