  1. Yeah Holy Grail defo a moments in amongst meh kind of thing, Life of Brian an altogether better flowing film, and MP at their peak.
  2. I was leaning towards clever wind up.
  3. Then again it was quite a while afyer they were made that I was old enough to really get most if it.
  4. I loved Holy Grail and Life of Brian, other than that it's only the odd thing that I ever laughed at.

Totally agree about the East. Hatcham is the area which people that live there call Telegraph Hill, Brockley or New Cross.
  6. Either way, my point was that it had closed down, and you don't really see that sort of joint spring up anymore. The bar in Peckham is a bar with a novelty.
  7. I told your better half about Hewitt's when we went last year. We were there a week ago getting loads of strawberries, ?2 per lb but obviously you don't pay for what the kids munch whilst picking. There were bugger all raspberries left but plenty of strawberries and lovely plumbs. Also veg like green beans and courgettes. Kids love it. Pretty easy on the train too.
  8. Wow, due to annoying spam, we can no longer write "k!tchen" without altering the spelling.
  9. Sophron Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > better than many alternatives that i can think of (amusement arcade, poundland, mobile phone etc etc.) Amusement Arcade? When was the last time you saw one of those open on a high street? I'd never really used poundland and the like before, but since moving to Penge this year I have totally fallen for the 99p store! 6 k!tchen rolls for a quid, what's not to love?
  10. It's a bit of both I think. Whatever you do to avoid princesses and Barbie in the early years, once they're at school it's unavoidable.
  11. Cupcakes!!!!!!!!!! Or at least the modern day version which is actually nothing like a cupcake as I understood them as a child, and tends to include these little shiny "edible" balls which actually share the same consistency as your average pebble.
  12. "Hospital School" is awful! Personally I like "Aske's East Dulwich" Or "Haberdashers' Aske's Dulwich" (HAD) But please please please don't call it "Hatcham, East Dulwich". Even people that live in Hatcham don't use Hatcham.

    Well said.
  14. Please tell me that "Hatcham East Dulwich" is just a silly mistake. That makes no more sense than "Canning Town East Dulwich".

  16. Chissora Vs Fury is off. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/28412473 Gutted, was quite looking forward to a tear up.

Okay so badly worded (plus the fact you love it and will follow me round the internet jumping on any anti Frozen comment I make). What my issue is is the sexualisation (is that a word?) of it. The arse wiggle and all that. Rebekah Brooks in Brave is a feisty character.

Lampard left it open, but I very much hope he won't be selected again. To be fair to Gerrard I don't think there was really anyone else for the job at this WC, but glad he's decided to bow out, push an extra couple of seasons of PL football out of his legs, and let someone else do it for England. Only problem is that someone else is likely to be Rooney.

Gerrard has retired from international footy. Right decision all round, and glad he took it.
  22. Cook needs to go. I used to like him, but his form is shit, and I really lost respect for him and the whole ECB after the way they dealt with Kevin Pietersen. And I'm not a big KP fan.
  23. You've put words in my mouth, a woman can wear what the hell she wants. That's not the point.
  24. Yeah I thought the press were scraping the barrel a bit trying to suggest there was an effort to cover something up. It was sinsible to ask parents to keep it quiet whilst investigations were ongoing. Pretty crazy that the guy was able to do what he's done though, and is still a free man.
  25. DulwichVillageLady is actually Mary Magdalene? Wow Prostitutes in the village Who'd have funk it.
