I agree that most players aren't loyal in terms of requesting transfers and stuff, but I do think that the money they are paid should be enough to at least stop them from publicly questioning their manager, and the clubs should come down hard on that shit.

I know this doesn't mean there is any truth in it, but I did read that on the beeb "gossip column" earlier, think it was from The Mirror. And I think it's pretty shitty. Normally I don't really feel for sacked managers as they will be very well compensated (as Moyes will be even if this clause does exist), but in this case it's the sheer level of public humiliation the bloke has had to endure which does make me feel for him. Managers should go and meet fans right at the start of their reigns and get a feel fro what is expected of them. All the talk of the way he spoke to the press (calling Liverpool favourites, saying they passed well on Sunday) reminded me very much of the slating Roy Hodgson got from Liverpool supporters for paying United too much respect. Personally I think supporters should grow the fuck up, but I am a minority.
  3. And I've just realised that RD & SC have posted identical predictions, which I guess is fine, but neither of you will go in to the second leg with an advantage.
  4. Okay, in order of which they were sent to me RD Atl?tico Madrid 2 Chelsea 1 Real Madrid 2 Bayern Munich 2 Mx Atl?tico Madrid 3 v 1 Chelsea Real Madrid 3 v 1 Bayern Munich RC Atl?tico Madrid 1 Chelsea 0 Real Madrid 2 Bayern Munich 1 SC Atl?tico Madrid 2 v 1 Chelsea Real Madrid 2 v 2 Bayern Munich
  5. Cheers SC, can confirm I have all 4 lots of predictions. Can't post from phone so will post later.

Beeb "Klopp has ruled himself out of the job, the 46-year-old telling The Guardian: "Man Utd is a great club and I feel very familiar with their wonderful fans. But my commitment to Borussia Dortmund and the people is not breakable."
  7. Waiting on SC's predictions.

Moyes would not fit Spurs at all. He just doesn't do attacking football. The thing that gets me about this is simply how much the players seem to have publically undermined him. I think clubs should fine players everytime they speak out of line on social media, they are paid massive sums of money, and that should be enough to buy their loyalty.

From the beeb " One unqualified success for Moyes was his relationship with Wayne Rooney, still trying his heart out for United and his manager in the final seconds of misery at Goodison Park. There is irony there, too, in that Moyes and Rooney parted on sour terms when he left Everton as a teenager and was intent on leaving United when he arrived as manager. Moyes handled this stick of dynamite left behind by Ferguson deftly, with Rooney producing outstanding form and also pledging his long-term future to the club." What?!?!?

Hope he gets a good pay out, he's been truly humiliated.

I just don't get why they'd sack him now. We've not learnt anything in the last month or so that we didn't know at Christmas. Wonder who will employ him after this... He's very conservative, maybe Italy. It's that or a team like Bolton.

The club are remaining tight lipped according to the beeb. Their article really does highlight what a bunch of spoilt kids that club has in it's squad. Welbeck considering his future because he's being played out if his favoured position? What? Try being good enough you cock.
  14. I just checked and I also had 2-0 chelsea. I had a bad week, 5 points, and only cos I got the pool score correct.
  15. God I don't even look that closely, I just look who's playing and put some incorrect numbers in the boxes. Think I got the pool score though.

I'm just not saying anything about LFC and their chances until it's all done and dusted. This weekend has been perfect for us (City slipping again tomorrow would be even better, but can't see it), but until something is won, it's not won. Er, obviously.

From BBC Website "This is the first time in the entire history of the beautiful game that Liverpool and Everton have completed the double over Manchester United in the same season. 4-0 to Merseyside."

Agree with Atticus I'm afraid RD. Moyes took the piss with the double bid and accusing Everton of holding the players back. He'd have been livid if he'd been Everton boss.
  22. Fly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The head of social services for disabilities was > one of those who wrote her letters This doesn't necessarily mean anything when it comes to education (it should, but that's a different matter). Social Care and Education are two separate directorates, with their own budgets. Those that hold the purse strings in education do not like to be told how to spend their money by social care, there is often a silly "us and them" vibe going on (I'm from a social care background, but now I've found myself in education I'm shocked how much of this I see). So on Tuesday please contact the SEN Team and chat to them. I'm not so sure a school can tell you they have no place when that place has been allocated by the local authority. But what sometimes happens is that a school will say they can't meet a chil'd needs (is there a statement?). In a case like this, the LA will need to find you a suitable school place. Really sorry to hear you're having to deal with this stress, but I think you'll be able to sort it. Just keep on at them, they hate that.
  23. Have you been in touch with Southwark's special; educational needs team? I work for the newham version, and there is often mix up because the "pupil services" team allocate all the school places, but they sometimes don't realise that there are additional needs.

It reminds me of the whole shef united / west ham thing a few years back. okay so the circumstances are different, but at the end of the day it's clutching at straws because the team haven't done enough on the pitch. But with the money in the premier leagie being what it is, you can see why teams will do anything to stay up.
