  1. Liverpool set for three losses too, including to QPR. . Yep, you're probably spot on.
  2. I'd go for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, which you can get for just over ?300. http://www.wired.co.uk/reviews/tablets/2012-09/samsung-galaxy-note-101 Couple of other options... http://www.wired.co.uk/reviews/tablets/2012-08/toshiba-at300 http://www.wired.co.uk/reviews/tablets/2012-10/samsung-galaxy-tab-2-101
  3. That's just it, even if guns were made illegal, how many people wouyld just keep theirs in the drawer anyway. It's not even so much guns, it's the type of guns. I personally don't believe people should have guns at all, but just say I did feel that one should have a gun with which to protect their homes, surely a small hand gun will do the job, you don't need a feckin assault rifle!
  4. "3. My point was that while yes, gun control is part of the issue, the fact is that removing access to guns does not stop people from engaging in senseless, vicious attacks on innocent people. To immediately blame the entire situation on guns is short-sighted. " This is undoubtedly true, but the simple fact remains that if these people have access to a gun when they snap, they're going to do a lot more damage.
  5. Fabrico, whilst that is all terrible, what's your point again?
  6. Bloody hell, glad I'm not sitting in the cold at Anfield today!
  7. Marmora Man Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The US is not alone - Dunblane, Hungerford and > Cumbria in the last 15 years here in UK. Indeed, that was part of my point, but how many more could there have been..
  8. You're right of course LondonMix, but the point is that these incidents are becoming less shocking as each one happens. Not any less tragic, and the fact the victims were so young in this case makes it possibly even more so, but unfortunately we are kind of used to seeing these stories. And still nothing gets done about the gun laws in the U.S. because too many people with real power over there are fecking idiots! That is not to say these things don't happen over here, they have done, but at least if the guns weren't so readily available, it's less likely.
  9. I never said I wouldn't come, and I notice you still haven't actually said that it's not your band...

  11. Oh dear, that is sad. Not really my kind of place, but a nice place all the same, and decent people. Even if I did think the whole argument with the shop next door a few years ago was a bit badly handled. Best of luck to them. How long until all the beloved independents opf East Dulwich are priced out of business by greedy landlords?
  12. Oh, well yes, that's was my initial thought. Was Macroban banned then? I miss all the good stuff!
  13. Oooo, who is it?

  15. I wouldn't be alive to care if I was eaten, so I'm cool with it... Although I'd agree with Huguenot that I'd probably prefer not to know first, and I'd rather be eaten by strangers. I'm not sure I could bring myself to eat human though, but if I was stuck up a mountain and dying of starvation I guess I might feel different.

  17. I've forwarded this link to my cousin, not sure if he's a wiccan, but if there is anything of that ilk locally he'll know about it. I know he has a wand (no rude jokes please) if that helps.
  18. I have loads of partially played games, I haven't when played a game for months. L.A. Noir - maybe a 3rd through. Alice, Madness Returns - Barely Started Skyrim - Played about 2 hours, scared to get too drawn in! And there are others, so I just don't buy games now.. Although I think Mrs Otta has got me the one where you play real guitar, so that should be fun. Next year is going to have to be very frugal so as to pay off stuff, so hoping to jump back in to games.

Just finished watching this, thanks for the heads up, I really enjoyed it.
  20. *aims shotgun at Quids*
  21. Are you telling me Green Street wasn't a documentary? But it seemed so real!
  22. Totally agree Quids! Although please stop saying "just asking" ;-)
  23. For anyone who likes a good page turner thriller, Linwood Barclay is my new favourite. Just finished "Trust your eyes" which has quite a good back story where a crime is caught on camera by an internet mapping camera (like Google streetview, but called something different in the book). I have just started my first ever Robert Goddard book after my wife got me 10 of his novels cheap from the book people. Only a few pages in, but seems okay so far, and a couple of people at work tell me they're fun.
  24. I'd never heard of contactless cards.
  25. What Jeremy said. 15 Year olds want to have the latest things, but these days the latest cool things happen to be very expensive gadgets that are very desirable to muggers. I wouldn't get an older version, she'd probably just hate you for it. Offer a mid range android / blackberry, and tell her if she'll only accept the iphone, then you'll put in what you would have spent on the mid range android / blackberry, and she can work for the rest.
