  1. Cleverly to defend against Shawn Hawk on Saturday http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/20202795 His record is won 23 (KO 17), lost 2 (including last fight on points), drawn 1 = 26 Cleverly will have been preparing for a fight anyway, but it's late in the day to prepare for an individual.
  2. Mine was working fine over the weekend.

I really thought Rylan was impressive in the sing off and don't know why he hasn't done a serious song like that before. To be honest Kye done absolutely nothing for me.

Agree about Lucy, don't believe she's been too ill for a fortnight. Part of me wonders whether the whole thing has been planned. RE: James, no one should touch "Don't speak" simple as that. I want Christopher to just fuck off the slimey weirdo!

    Awesome!

Indeed, someone will snap her up. I loved her version (complete with her own verses) of Titanium.
  7. To be honest, I don't think you really need them for a fireworks display. More for a concert or something like that.

Genuinely think Lucy Spraggan is a real talent, and can't really be arsed to watch now because the rest of them are all pretty shit or just dull.
  9. I'm not doing very well so far, hope for a couple of correct scores tomorrow or I'll be rubbish this week.
  10. Agreed Jessie. BBC needs to have a good long look at itself, but the hospitals and care homes are what has really shocked me. And now a Tory MP from the Thatcher era is in the frame too.
  11. " I remember the peerless original, its unfairly-maligned sequel" Pleased he said that, "Adventure of Link" was one of my favourite games. I played it recently on my phone, and it's still great! The original didn't have villages and people to talk to, which for me made AOL so charming.
  12. Robbie Keane (?20 million), Alberto Aquilani (?20 million), Downing (?20 million), Henderson (?18 million), Carroll (?35 million), Adam (?9 million) and Enrique (?7 million) That is a shocking line up (and it doesn't even include ?35m Caroll). Biggest problem is they are going to have to take huge losses in order to unload any of these players, but IMO, there is no point throwing good money after bad, so just take the loss on the chin, and save on their undoubtedly high wages.
  13. Hmm, I agree totally that Zelda games do kind of guide you on your journey so you can't really get lost. He is a bit harsh about Ocarina of Time though. When that game came out, it was feckin amazing compared to anything we'd ever seen to that point! But yes, a fully open world Zelda game would be a wonderful thing!
  14. As a Zelda fan, I'm impressed Pibe.
  15. I think that had the money already been given out, tt would be pretty harsh to ask the beneficiary(s) to hand it back! I'm not sure what I think about monetary compensation in these sorts of cases.

  18. After 9 is ridiculous. At 8 I just put remaining sweets on the garden wall and closed the gate.
  19. Quids, my mum always gets loads of knocks, and she certainly doesn't put a pumpkin out.
  20. Going back to the original post, the op wanted to have lunch with her friends. What the hell's the problem with that? There is no problem, and fortunately she had a nice lunch with her friends and had a great time. They were using the cafe for what it's for. Is it acceptable for a cafe to say "no mums for lunch here"? How about if it said "no gays, we are Christians", "no black people, our customers are mostly white", "no smelly oldies"? But they never said "no mums for lunch here", lets all just stop making up scenarios. How the hell have you made the leap from an issue with buggies to comparing that with real discrimination against gays or black people!?!? If you read the OP again, it was actually a staff member who they origionally had their problem with. They then "challenged" the staff member, and we have no idea what tone that was done in. The manager then came and stuck up for his staff member. We have no idea how the OP and her party were acting, so lets just stop talking about discrimination and comparing this to real discrimination like homophobia or racism.
  21. Excellent, so by missing a week I am above Jah & RD. Tactical genius!
  22. Harrison story http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/20081535 In other news, Nathan Cleverly has no one to fight in Vegas. It might not be entirely his fault, but his career is a bit of a joke IMO.
  23. I have great memories of Halloween from my childhood, dressing up, scary stories, apple bobbing and all that jazz. But never Trick or Treat. I am very jealous of my American cousins at Halloween, I'd love to do Halloween in America where the whole thing is huge. Halloween here is just a very poor immitation, and unfortunately the bit that everyone wants to do is the Trick or Treating, which IMO is the rubbish bit. I will happily throw Halloween parties when the kids are bigger, I just won't include Trick or Treating as part of the evening entertainment.
  24. Money, and a body that was immune to the damage of beer!
  25. And in other news, Audley reckons he'll fight on. It's his destiny you know.
