This is quite interesting / fun. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/my-premier-league-life

  3. Greenwich has always felt separate to me. It's SE London but it feels like a pain in the arse to get to.
  4. I went to a private party upstairs at the FM once. I'd had a pint elsewhere before hand which hadn't gone down well so I was on the shorts. When it was quiet at the start of the party I bought the barman and his girlfriend both a drink. Best money I ever spent in a bar, because after that he stated "I'm gonna get you shit faced mate", and for the rest of the night he charged me for single measures whilst pouring ludicrous amounts. He did indeed get me shit faced. Other than that I wasn't keen on the venue, was always crammed. But it tended to be the meeting point for the start of a lot of nights.
  5. I'm with rahrahrah. If the upper deck was busy and the only option was to either sit next to one of them or ask one of them to move next top their mate, then fine. But if there were plenty of seats available, then why should they move just so that you could have your favourite seat? I'd have said no to be honest.
  6. SURELY he would get slaughtered in an election, wouldn't he???
  7. Way to slag of the OP's sister. Good job.

Better than ED yes, but disagree that it's as good as it gets in SE. Trains through Forest Hill / Sydenham are great (to LB or the Overground). And I have been really pleasantly surprised to discover the options in Penge what with Penge West having Overground / LB, and Penge East having the Victoria - Orpington Line (which also gives the option of changing at Hearne Hill for lots of other options. Yes it means the 176 is that much further out, but I wouldn't sit on a bus in to town these days anyway. For me buses are for journies of a maximum 20 minutes. Not just saying that to big up Penge, I honestly thought when I moved here that transport would suck, but it's been great. I guess basically it depends whether you count buses as a good option or not.

Ha, that was my response to that particular line.
  10. It's Quids' tribute to The Funky Monkey.
  11. I stand by it. Not saying he wasn't guilty of anything, but anyone can basically claim anything now and it would be difficult to prove or disprove.
  12. Cilla was actually mentioned in the CoR before she got her own thread.
  13. They'd have been behind the bar ;-)
  14. Agree and we often fast forward through the torture bits. But this was a step too far.

So Di Maria had gone. interested to hear your thoughts RD. Think I'd be feeling a bit pissed at the manager if I was a fan. We all know what position he's great in, it's why he was bought.
  16. It was completely gratuitous and was not remotely necessary for the furtherment of the story.
  17. I miss ther CPT and all my aussie mates. I'd have been heading straight there from work in years gone by.
  18. If one of the kids brought it up, MAYBE (and obviously I have no idea) your mum didn't want to sound too strict in front of them?
  19. I think Camberwell used to be a lot rough when I was a kid, but for years it's been a pretty cool place. But unless you're close to Denmark Hill (which a lot of Camberwell isn't) then I'd disagree that transport is particularly good.

Indeed http://www.birminghambar.co.uk/ But yes very worth it. People can buy all the locks they like, but theyre all useless if you've got crap hinges which cave with the first kick.
  21. Of course people will come out of the woodwork, he's not around to contradict anything.
  22. That's the fella.

He's also gone for United winning though, so he can do one.
