This happens to me ALL THE TIME at a zebra near me in penge. In fact, much as I love the place, Penge does have an exceptionally high number of total arsehole boy racers and 4x4 driving morons that zoom down little side roads.
  3. davidk Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There are far more people like > me on bikes than people like those described > above. So why the hate? because as with many other things, the arseholes are the noticeable ones. it's like people moaning about selfish parents in pubs with kids. most parents are not like that, but there are a few who are, and they're the ones that people notice and everyone else gets tarred with the same brush.
  4. Moston them seem to still work in London before travelling out and telling anyone who'll listen about how they don't miss London at all. No,that's because you're here 5 days a week you moron.

Very sad for those that knew her or were close to her. Buy "a great loss"? What was she doing that was of such importance that she's a "great loss"? Read this morning that a 9 year old kid had been killed at a baseball match when a bat hit his head. That is arguably sadder and a greater loss (the potential he may or may not have had).
  6. Yeah ED definitely carries an extra charge comoared to lots of surrounding areas, but still London as a whole is bad. Crooked Billet in Penge is a dive of a pub with definite edge, and it's still over 4 quod a pint.

Obviously counts for nothing, but good to see Benteke finding the net straight away in a Liverpool shirt. Very interested to see what team lines up next week...
  8. Lots of theories linking trainspotting with forms of Autism because of the obsessive nature of the behaviour. And sometimes (quite rare) the book isn't better than the film, this is one of those times for me.
  9. Yeah defo a London rather than ED thing.
  10. In my defense, I have a mobile.
  11. Going out for drinks and definitely earing out are beyond a lot of people these days.
  12. It's sad, but not really that big a loss in the grand scheme of things.

He'll always try to twist things in an attempt to show that he was actually right all along. Doesn't make him a bad person (I think he's basically a good person), but it can be infuriating.
  14. If you watch the film you'll be none the wiser about the hobby of trainspotting.
  15. He posts.
  16. But, (and this is the crux of the matter foxy, so stay with me), it wasn't being sold as honey.
  17. Yes let's not let the fact that ot wasn't labelled as honey get in the way of Fox being completely incapable of admitting he's wrong about anything.

  19. History of the Capitol cinema here. http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/2428 "the Capitol Cinema was built in 1928-9 for London & Southern Cinemas and designed by noted cinema architect and garden designer John Stanley Beard. It opened on 11th February 1929 with John Gilbert in ?Man Woman and Sin?. As the cinema was designed for silent movies, sound equipment had to be installed soon after opening. It originally had a Compton 2Manual/8Ranks theatre organ which was opened by Edgar Peto. There was also a cafe for the convenience of patrons. The stage was 22 feet deep and with three dressing rooms it allowed for variety shows to be staged. It was taken over by Associated British Cinemas(ABC) from July 1933 and they operated it for the remainder of its cinematic life."

Balotelli plays best with a partner, yet Rogers rarely played that way. He expects players to fit his plans and has no flexibility. I am liking him less and less to be honest. But I am still hopeful for this season...

Lambert to West Brom. Wish him the very best of luck, Liverpool never should have signed him, as never used him even when we had no other strikers. Feel like it stole a year of a career in it's latter stages.
  22. My daughter (turned 4 a few days ago) was very quick to do wees on the toilet, but absolutely refused to do a poo. She'd beg us for a nappy and we'd oblige as we didn't want her getting backed up (had serious issues with her big sister and couldn't face that again). Anyway, this went on and on, occasionally we'd convince her to sit on the loo but she just wouldn't do the deed. And then a month or two ago she just did it, and has done it since with no accidents or anything. It's not like she was still in nappies all the time, she'd go to preschool in knickers and be fine, then in the evening she'd tend to ask for a nappy and go off to do her business somewhere private. So I'd say just let them take the lead, so long as they're all set in time for primary school I don't see the big deal.
  23. Has a good voice case, Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Renee Zellweger...

I don't even think you'd get particularly good odds on that, he's definitely the manager under most pressure going in to this season. Still expect us to finish comfortably above Spurs though. WISH Rogers would TRY Benteke and Balotelli up front as a partnership, because Balotelli works well with a partner and I still think we could get something out of him, but Rogers won't because he "knows best"...
  25. Anyone seen "Bee Movie"? Bee takes humans to court to stop them stealing the honey. One of my daughter's favourites, and I quite like it too.
