  1. sure it's not "mobo"? I don't think you need "my my" for wow - surely "my" on it's own would do?
  2. Food posioning is absolutely brutal, and I'm keen to avoid But given how much I eat in all of the badly rated restaurants, you would think there would be correlation between rating and illness, no? That there isn't (for me or anyone in my group) suggests the ratings are not helpful.
  3. I recall exporting my contacts to Google Contacts from old phone and reimporting to new phone. Was a while ago tho', so can't remember specifics
  4. pish H Any party needs voters from other parties toget elected - so of course he wants Tory voters, just as Cameron wants Labour voters That doesn't make Cameron Labour-lite any more than it makes Miliband Tory-lite
  5. which school, silverfox?
  6. I realise as well that my line "not even breaking any law here" is ambiguous - it could be read as breaking any UK law, when I meant to say it's not even Saudi law which prevents women driving - it' s entirely religious/cultural
  7. not usually funny anyway betterat50m but given what's happening in Saudi at the moment, particularly tasteless
  8. Which of the many threads to ressurect? Anyway, the film received it's DVD and VoD release this week, so try and seek out a copy
  9. or more specifically, women drivers in Saudi beyond acceptable We are talking about women getting flogged for not even breaking any law here. Madness
  10. TLBV Is there a reason you specifically think an Indian restaurant is preferred over another kind? Given the number of curry houses on the lane already, none of which are excellent consistently, there may be room for either a genuinely excellent balti house, OR a southern indian restaurant which does meat (a la Ganapati) But if you are looking to open a restaurant in general, I think there is more room for success if you open a good restaurant which provides something different to the area Vietnamese Chinese a la Silk Road in Camberwell, rather than the traditional cantonese/peking styles Mexican Italian But they should be good and not just churning out basics
  11. when they gave up the "european" stuff and claimed they wanted to reclaim being "the best rock band in the world" again, that's when they became parodies of themselves No time at all for the first three albums I'm afraid. I'm not saying there isn't anything good on them but lordy they are earnest. And they do transport me to a time and place - but not a great one
  12. Nooo ? I like Zooropa. A ballad with Johnny Cash singing. And the falsetto thrill of Lemon? It?s a fun album. And that?s not something you can say about U2 often I?ve long been a non-fan of U2, but Achtung Baby, Zooropa and the much-derided Pop, have genuinely great stuff on them All of the other albums I can pretty much leave (although I like the title track from Unforgettable Fire. And some of the Passengers stuff)
  13. You would be hard-pressed to say that the population genuinely want anything radical, They might say they do, in many different ways, but faced with a genuinely radical potential leader they would run for the hills It's a perennial poser for both the population and any politician wishing to get elected. I blame the voters more than I blame the people trying to get their votes (slightly)
  14. possibly true Atticus, but it's a long-running argument, on here and in the wider world, and starting yet another thread is just provocation
  15. If you have come from the street, throught the lobby, through security, and up 6 floors, then 50 yards down a wide open office and you STILL have your headphones so loud you can be heard 20 yards away... then you my friend, are a grade A tosser
  16. and a vote for SoM's "First and Last and Always" as a great debut album
  17. Lambchop's 9th album, "Damaged" was pretty fine. Not their best, no but pretty fine for a 9th album
  18. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_XpAtAv7eph4/TJE92hBu9JI/AAAAAAAAE5s/P_B0UbIZGvU/s400/clap-hands.jpg oh well played that man
  19. I'm sure another user has Been Fond Of Using Capital Letters For Each Word recently - but I can't track down who (Moan hasn't on this thread, but often does)
  20. there is your problem right there - any detailed plan formulated now is of extremely limited value if you can't implement it until a few years time, when events will have moved on Sometimes part leaders do give detailed tick-box plans at conference speeches - and then get told off for delivering just a tick-box speech. It's a hiding to nothing really.
  21. anyone taking DulwichMoan seriously should take a look at their posting history and then just give him/her a wide berth 3/10 (and that includes extra points for getting people to respond)
  22. if he had showmanship he would be called "Blair Mk 2" if he had great oratory skills he would be called "Obama Mk 2" and both would be intended as put-downs I'm with Piers - I like him, I'm in the minority, he won't win anything But I would be very interested in seeing how this country did if he did get elected.
  23. Oh the bit about crashes and being able to make money is all essentially true The praying for it to happen so "anyone" can make money is a bit weird no?
  24. I think there was about 3 comments when I first posted that link... Lemme take a peek Edited to say, no I remember that site now. There were many links... Not sure why I picked that one
  25. It gets better
