  1. "If I hear someone has a problem and it?s a problem which doesn?t affect me I listen to their moaning say I don?t have an issue and move on?. Would I rubbish them NO! " well apart from the fact that your post is all kinds of aggressive, name calling insinuations, no you don't rubbish anyone But to answer the question about why people who don't agree with you might be trying to make an opposing argument, it's because living in a major capital city involves all kinds of compromises in order for the WHOLE thing to function, and single issue petitions like yours don't solve anything let's say you succedd - what happens to the people living elsewhere in London who would have to take the brunt of the diverted traffic? If your answer is for them to do as you did and THEY all succeed, what happens to all of the planes which need to fly/land to facilitate your, mine and everyone elses work/leisure/holiday schedules of COURSE you can hear more traffic/noise because you have allowed the issue to dominate your thinking - you spend your time bareley sleeping, waiting for that first drone so you can jump up and shout "aha!!!" The people who are arguing against you are living close to you and offering solutions. Crazy ranty posts like your win noone over
  2. Expensive dinner in temple maybe. But posh (as in expensive AND good?). Curious as to where Cocktails not a thing in that area either. Agree with advice to head to Mayfair/soho

I don't think that's fair Lady D For all Louisa's faults, I don't believe she has an issue with race
  7. 2 years (TWO!) after the game was released Zero Punctuation finally gets around to reviewing Dark Souls (explaining along the way why it took so long to get into it, how wrong he was and how great it is) http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/8802-Dark-Souls
  8. "Words of a man under pressure? " well this is it - but given his demeanour so far it came out of the blue. Will that rub off on his team in run in?

from reading the thread, I'm seiing (roughly) an even split between people who agree with you, and people who disagree with you So that seem fairly ok to bat opinions back and forth without it requiring you to feel you are bing picked on or need to be defensive that said, you are on the more strident end of regular posters so by definition people will gravitate to and argue with you. It seems you want to make strong forceful opinions, but when less than 100% people say "absolutely Louisa" you feel that those arguing against you are someone how ganging up on you. I just can't see that There does seem to be something specific between you and KK on this thread - I don't know if he is part of some "clique" or not tho. There doesn't seem to be a huge swell to back some of his claims 100%
  10. The better team did win But as people have already said, it is frustrating how often Barcelona get through against English teams after a sending off (the RVP one in particular still galls me) What about Pellegrini's comments regarding the ref after the game?

By all means argue back and forth (as everyone is doing) but when you spout rubbish like "What about 'Louisaism' that appears alive and well on this forum. " it undermines any argument you might be making as for "There is a selective click on this forum, who when it suits accuse people like me of being secretly 'racist' because I hold a view about the ever so sacred Rye Lane." name names Also "selective"? Who selects them? I don't disagree with everything you are saying about Rye Lane at all Louisa, but your paranoia is off the scale
  12. Interesting article on the disparity even in that top 1% http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/11/your-money/even-among-the-richest-of-the-rich-fortunes-diverge.html?_r=2 this paragraph jumped out "Put another way, our 0.1 percent household made about 206 times, and our 1 percent household about 41 times, what our average household did. That gap has yawned over time. In 1990, for instance, the same multiples were 87 and 21. In 1980, they were 47 and 14."

look - KidKruger is a honky. I don't think he was denigrating anyone
  14. Agreed John But is it strange because of what we don't know, or is it strange because Laudrup is creating a "strange" scenario. In a strange fashion

fox - why do you always have to resort to this made up nonsense People disagree with me plenty on here - but I don't resort to being a martyr or calling it "straferjack-ism" if people make stuff up they get called on it - it's that simple. Away with your clique nonsense. Given that you seem friendly to my face in person and yet you spout stuff like this on here, who is the two-faced one?
  16. fair enough Tony but it strikes me as odd that a pub that does so much business with credit cards behind the bar would play fast and loose like this - reputationally it would kill them if it was to come out have you raised it with pub management and the fact that the card is new and only been used there?

Stop being such a dick and people won't pick on you so much Whenever people post "I love Louisa" posts you seem able to ignore them. Stop being such a martyr
  20. If it was who you say it was, what's connection with the pub? They could have obtained card details from elsewhere and used them in the pub but that's not same thing

I don't think calling well off white people "honkys" constitutes racism. Prejudice maybe. But no one is likely to suffer Racism to me means there is a victim at then end of the prejudice

yup Louisa - I didn't say those shops had closed everywhere, just in many places WHSmiths would have looked at the figures and decided it wasn't worth keeping that store open. So people might want variety of shops but it would appear the bigger chains don't get the custom Forest Hill is no shopping destination but the locals appear to use WH Smiths enough to warrant it staying open (for now) (it's smaller and probably cheaper to lease/rent as well)

"I moved here in 2007 and since then we lost Currys, Woolworths, WHSmith that I can remember. " everywhere lost woolworths most places lost dixons/currys a lot of places lost Smiths not much unique about Peckham in that regard
  24. I'm never quite sure who unlurked is - but today I'm definitely "feeling" snorky (on a bad day)
  25. Castle was the proving ground for capital pubs tho And an anchor and hope affair in that venue is no recreation ground is it?
