'Just wished to thank you for the awesome 3 days we had with you on the Half term holidays. He was really happy about participating in so many artistic activities, he brought plenty of 'stuff' home which is obviously on the wall for everyone to see...this camp was just perfect with such professional and smiley staff! We are returning for Summer!' ?Thanks so much for last Tuesday?s band workshop. Evie enjoyed it so much and can?t stop talking about it.? Ian, Parent ?Just thought I?d pass on that D said today was fantastic ? and the best day of her half term by some way!? Emma, Parent ?As a granny responsible for some fetching and taking of two participants, I just wanted to say how impressed I was by the teachers running the course. They were so gentle, friendly and positive and understood brilliantly my rather quirky 8-year-old grand-daughter. How wonderful if all primary school teachers could be like them!? Brigid, Grandparent
  3. I had such fun today at Nunhead Green's Big Lunch celebrations, I'm going to be revisiting today's pirate tale, and telling the full version all this week at our regular Nimble Tales sessions! So, landlubbers ahoy, come and shiver ye timbers, and join us for cello tunes, songs and stories with your under 5 this week smile emoticon Classes are: Monday: 2pm, The Old Nuns Head (mixed ages) Wednesday: 10am (mixed ages), 11am (0-2s), The Ivy House Friday: 11am (mixed ages), The Peckham Pelican ?6 for one off class, or ?4.50 per class when you buy a 6-week flexi-card. Drop in available if there's room, but advance booking recommended at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421
  4. The last outing of superdog is tomorrow morning, 11am at the Peckham Pelican! Come and join us on a superhero adventure, with cello tunes, bubbles, scarves and songs! Book in online at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421 or looks like there should be drop in space available (first come first serve) x
  5. The next Nimble Tots daytime disco for parents, carers and under 5s will be a Britpop special! Featuring lots of 90s indie britpop hits, Nimble craft activities, bubbles, disco lights and muchos dancing! Sunday 28th June: 11am - 12.30pm The Nines, Copeland Estate, Peckham (Just behind the Bussey building) Tix: ?8 for one adult, ?14 for two, with up to 2 little people admitted free per adult! Advance tickets recommended from http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=1230
  6. Tomorrow it's the adventures of the one and only furry superhero SUPERDOG at the Ivy House, (and also on Friday 11am at the Peckham Pelican). There are still spaces for both sessions tomorrow, they sometimes get busy so to guarantee your space you can book online, or else there'll be drop in space available until we're full... 10am: Mixed age 11am: 0-2s I'm thinking of adding a 4pm session just for the summer holiday period (as we won't have the Monday or Friday classes running) - if anyone would theoretically be up for something at this time it'd be great to know (as I'm aware it's dangerously close to teatime!) x
  7. Wise family room people, I wondered if I could pick your brains again - I'm just programming our summer holiday Nimble Tots programme, as we'll still be running classes on a Wednesday at the Ivy House in Nunhead. We'll have our normal cello/story/music classes at 10am and 11am, plus more crafternoon tea workshops for parents/carers with pre-crawlers in the afternoon, *but* I'm wondering about putting another class in at 4pm, but is this a ridiculous time for a session being too close to tea? I can't quite work it out! It'd be either: * Proper storytelling aimed at 4-7 year olds (so longer tales than the morning session, some music more slightly more narrative led - but younger kids/older siblings welcome) * More drama type workshops for 3.5-5 year olds * A baby music class Or none of the above, if 4pm is a foolish time for such things! We'd do these as drop in workshops, with advance sign up available too, and places on the day available if there is room... Thanks! Becky x
  8. There's still time to come and join us tomorrow at the glorious Nines in Peckham! If the weather's nice, it's a great place for outside lunch afterwards, if it's rainy, it's the perfect day to come and boogie around and get some crafting done in the inside! There will be tickets available on the door, or you can buy online right up until 8am this morning, when I'll be printing out the lists! Becky x
  9. Tickets still available! Hide away from the rain in our indiepop musical haven this Sunday instead! x
  10. Thanks to all the feedback we've received, we're now offering a limited number of extended hour places for our summer holiday club, with optional 5-6pm spaces now available! You can book these online, and if you've already booked and would like to add extended hours, just email [email protected].
  11. Just a wee update - we're going to be offering an initially limited number of extended day spaces at our summer holiday clubs until 6pm! Thanks a lot for your feedback on this.
  12. Tickets still available for Sunday's disco! Come and join us for bubbles, smoke machines and some great tunes! If we have any tickets left, they'll be on sale on the door, so I'll update on here whether we have any left (we've sold out previously, but have a slightly larger capacity next time!) x
  13. We're still running tomorrow, Wednesday 27th May, even though it's half term! Come and join us for another story, music and cello tune fuelled adventure... Book online to reserve your space at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421 10am: Mixed age class 11am: 0-2s Join us under the glitter ball! x
  14. Just a week to go before our next indiepop tots disco next Sunday, and the new bubble machine, lights and decorations are now happily cluttering up the Nimble office! There are still plenty of tickets available - they do tend to sell out in advance so advance booking recommended. Tickets also available now for our Britpop Tots and Sixties Tots discos later this summer! x
  15. Places update for next week... Tuesday 26th: Drama: 10 spaces left (both morning and afternoon slots available for 4 year olds Wednesday 27th: Mad Professor's Lab (cross-arts day): VERY LIMITED SPACES - 2 full day spaces, NO MORNING SPACES for 4 year olds, 6 afternoon spaces for 4 year olds Thursday 28th: Arts and Crafts (sock monsters, dream catchers and bedroom bunting!): 4 full day spaces, NO MORNING SPACES for 4 year olds, 7 afternoon spaces for 4 year olds Friday 29th: Sing School: Plenty of spaces left! We'll be keeping an eye on the inbox and bookings over the bank holiday weekend, and will update on here when full - suspect we'll be sold out for Wednesday and Thursday, but should have space for Friday up until the day. And don't forget second tier early bird summer booking ends on the 10th June - get your booking in before this and save ?10 on your booking - places are filling up pretty quickly, particularly mid-week days, so get in there quick. We're exploring the possibilities of an extended day for summer bookings, and will update if and when this becomes available, as we understand a 5pm pick-up is quite early!
  16. Thanks for this - we're definitely looking into trying to offer extended hours for the summer, and failing that, for October onwards, as we completely understand it's difficult to finish a working day in time for a 5pm pick up!
  17. Thanks for the nice feedback about Nimble on here... A slightly cheeky hijack (admin - do delete if not appropriate in this thread), but we're looking into whether we can extend our hours to 6pm in the future, and wondered whether this would be useful? It's going to take a bit of convincing of our venues and staff, but if there's demand we're going to look into it properly!
  18. There's still time to join us this May half term, but get in there quick... spaces for summer are beginning to go quickly (we're impressed by how organised many of you are!), and don't forget there's early bird discount booking available until the 10th May (save ?10 on your booking). We're still finalising plans for the last two weeks of the summer, so watch this space! x
  19. We've still a bit of room left to join us for the May half term holiday, so come and get creative and dodge those gloomy skies. Places are left on all days, although the Mad Professors Lab (Wednesday) is now looking quite full, and the Tuesday and Thursday are also beginning to fill up. Lots of room to come and sing with us on the Friday! x
  20. Shelter from the rain and join us for dragons, cello tunes and songs at the Ivy House, 2pm this afternoon! x
  21. We've still some spaces to join us for tales of a lost mermaid, her adventures undersea plus lots of cello tunes, bubbles and songs tomorrow at the Ivy House, Nunhead, SE15 2BH! 10am: mixed aged class 11am: 0-2s Hope to see some of you then! x
  22. We've still got a few spaces left for May half term if you're thinking of joining us, but some days are now getting fairy busy...
  23. Join us for another daytime disco for parents, carers and their 5s and under... We'll be playing an eclectic and invigorating mix of up-beat indie pop, 60s girl groups and Motown. This will include the likes of Belle & Sebastian, Love, New Order, The Shangri-Las, The Magnetic Fields, Stereolab, The Ronettes, Apples in Stereo, The Velvet Underground, Jens Lekman and Jonathan Richman? It's Sunday 31st May, 11 - 12.30 at the NINES, Peckham (Copeland Industrial Estate - behind the Bussey Building) Tickets: ?8 one adult, ?14 for two, little people go free. Advance booking recommended at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=1230 This disco has an indiepop music policy, but we've some other discos over the summer too! Sunday 28th May: Britpop Tots Sunday 2nd August: Sixties Tots
  24. Tomorrow we're at the Peckham Pelican at 11am for stories, songs and music for under 5s and their carers! With the help of an Indonesian myth, and of course, Boris the Bird and lots of cello tunes, we'll find out how the birds learnt to sing! It's ?6 per family, or ?27 for a six-class pass (flexi across any six classes!). Drop ins welcome, but space is limited - you can book in advance to guarantee your place at http://nimblearts.co.uk/?page_id=421 x
  25. Extra days now added! As well as the above, we'll also be at Goose Green School on: Wednesday 22nd July: Arts and Crafts Thursday 23rd July: Film Friday 24th July: Drama hurray!
