  1. Fiji to be leading at HT tomorrow is 8/1. USA and Scotland are in the same Group as S.Africa so I don't think DC meant both.
  2. Right it's time for some of you to get your act together and enter. I believe I need to 'accept' you so as time is running out, those of you who said you would play but haven't yet done so, now is the time. Well not quite yet but soon.
  3. I hope that post doesn't come back to haunt you ????'s. Resting players over a hectic period like Christmas and New Year is something that shouldn't be needed if the fixture schedule wasn't so manic over that period. Most countries manage to have a mid season break. Because of tradition it couldn't be done here then but perhaps in January? Bigger clubs than WH will have better players to rotate during those periods. La Liga starts later than the PL and finishes later. As there is a WC or Euros every two years it doesn't make sense for the PL to start when it does. As they (Euros/WC) don't start until early/mid June (off the top of my head) most English players won't have kicked a ball in anger in weeks. A distinct disadvantage to England. It's all very well having plenty of time as squad together but there's nothing like the real thing. England's supposed best player Rooney couldn't trap a bag of cement after being out for a few weeks. BFS's plan may not have gone to plan but the theory was right. Change the season and it could help both clubs and the national team.
  4. Mark, when you say 'test it', I take it you are not looking for comments on how it looks. Is that right?
  5. As it happens Mr.Quids I have it on good authority that Dr.Declan is quite pleased with how things are going for WH, regardless of who is in charge. I'm not sure if he ever actually compared the two as managers as he hasn't really posted much on here and of course the season is only 5 games old. He does think that some of you might be grateful to BFS for bringing a degree of stability to the club which others like QPR could only dream of. Progress in the PL is slow particularly for those shopping in the ? shops for a gem. Even those with money to spend quite often find their expensive ear rings just don't match the dress they were intended for. The doctor doubts that BFS will ever get another job that matches his impression of his ability. However looking at how Pardew has got on at CP and how detested he was at NU it does make you wonder. Mind you if Rafa can get the RM job there may be hope yet.
  6. No Foxy I didn't need to but it was sort of charming to be asked. I wasn't hurt by it either. When I was about 10 I used to think my sister in her mid twenties was 'old'. It's all relative.
  7. You know you're getting old when a woman offers you a seat........which happened to me.
  8. To avoid invading the other Rugby threads I've started this one for those who are playing or yet to sign up. The link is: http://www.superbru.com/rwc/ The Pool name is the same as the subject of this thread and the code to enter is 'walkfull'. The gist of it to predict a winner and winning margin. The 40 group matches are divided into 6 rounds ranging from 5 to 8 games. There is a bonus for getting all the predictions correct in a 'Round'. You can predict as far in advance as you wish and you will be able to see others predictions once you 'lock' your own. Round One matches are as follows: Friday: England v Fiji Saturday: Tonga v Georgia Ireland v Canada South Africa v Japan France v Italy Sunday: Samoa v USA Wales v Uruguay New Zealand v Argentina Please register using your Forum name so at least we know who we are playing against. If you have any questions just post them here.
  9. Actually you don't have to enter a score just a result and margin of victory. 5 days to go.
  10. It's probably lasted longer than Mick's fine wine 🍷 thread.

You can post your predictions once you register if you want. Summary of scoring a few posts up. This isn't a Fantasy game in that you don't have to pick players but just a score and result game. Easy to play.
  12. Sky Sports say he is out. A huge loss for Wales and not just for his goalkicking if true.
  13. If you're referring to my post then it wasn't on East Dulwich Rd.

  15. Had to google that term. As it did the Mick's/Paddies a favour I'm happy enough. Though of course we are not a home nation.
  16. It sounded like you did Louisa.
  17. I thought you wrote 'clique' at first. Got me interested.

I remember that but can't remember if it was part of the car dealers there or just beside it. I once bought a car there and the guy was just like Arthur Daly. He told me the motor was a real bird catcher or words to that effect.
  19. I think it was to do with how little he wanted to pay up front.

    73?
  21. http://www.realmadrid.com/noticias/2015/09/comunicado-oficial Madrid make an official statement. Basically it not their fault.
  22. From what I've read RM may have got cold feet. Navas has been in good form and 80% of their fans didn't want De Gea.
  23. 5500

What light Seabag? PS The pounds certainly will be by my son. Trust you had a good trip.
  25. United buy a 19 year old with potential for more than ?30M. Not sure that's what they need right now. Time will tell.
