They took their time bit it was worth waiting for. Sean O'Brien has been cited for I think a straight arm tackle. Hearing is this morning.

Thanks for your reply Admin. Would you describe the following as racist or funny or neither? "If you've ever tried to do a deal with an Irishman over a car, tractor, house, horse or gram of speed, you'll be familiar with all the posturing, bullying, leaving the room, coming back in again, foul language, threats of violence and general wailing and gnashing of teeth with which it is accompanied. What you don't do is quickly agree a price, shake hands and leave the room happy... either of you. There's a very long way to go yet"

Dear Admin, now I'm sure you would clamp down on racist remarks if they were to appear on a thread. Of that I have no doubt. Recently a remark appeared in a thread which frankly appeared to be just that. However, not wanting to jump to an incorrect conclusion I asked the poster to clarify what he meant. He didn't. In fact he stated that I and one other Paddy (my term not his) had a sense of humour bypass. This being a possibility I 'reported' the original post not by means of a complaint, but as a request to you and or the moderators to examine it and advise what I was missing. I didn't receive any reply. This was disappointing as now I don't know if I've been insulted twice or I really don't have a very developed sense of humour. Either way it's a lose lose situation.

Looks like you're on your own! Maybe none available.

His future employers are telling him to return to UK, get a tourist visa and then go back. I'm pretty sure that would require him (me) to buy a return ticket which won't be used. I'll try the Embassy to see if they can offer advice.

Can't both May and Corbyn not be sent to the Tower? Surely it's time for Her Maj to exercise a bit of Royal power. I voted Labour but 'ol JC seems to think everyone who did, did so because of him. In my case nothing could be further from the truth.

The 2nd stage of the application requires him to give up his passport KK. My suggestion was that he returns here and posts back his passport.Once visa has been issued the company post it back to him. Probably plenty of reasons that won't work. I just don't know what they are yet.

My son's study visa expires at the end of July. He's due to start working in China on August 1st. The company have to start the ball rolling once he gets his degree certificate. From what I read this process of obtaining a work visa could take some time. The company have never employed a foreigner before so the process is new to them and nothing seems to happen very quickly there. My question is, what if he stays in the country after his current visa lapses without having obtained the new one? Has anyone any experience of a similar situation? What would you advise?

2nd Test tomorrow. Round 9.

Well you finished your remark with a question mark, which makes it a question. If you already knew the question and decided it was daft, well thank you for sharing. It wasn't necessary.

If you don't know what the question was why do you assume it was stupid robbin?

It is their border? You're joking. They don't even want it and neither does either part of Ireland.

Is The Great Exhibition getting louder or what?
Alan Medic replied to Beej's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Very unlike me to even notice the noise at the GE though I am very close to it. However one night not too long ago I was woken up by what sounded like a very noisy crowd outside the pub. I looked out and saw it was just two females. I shouted over to them would they mind keeping it down. The response I got was along the lines of 'we're just in the pub having a good time'. My quick witted response was along the lines of 'I'm just in bed and I'm not having a good time'. That shook them.....I think. -

I'm must say I'm surprised by Jones being selected and wonder how Farrell will go in the centre. Will they not miss Teo to keep Sonny Bill quiet?

Well the good news is they haven't lost yet. I'm unsure who is to blame. Plenty of individual mistakes by players and some by management but the AB's are just very very good. Mind you they do target players and Murray could have picked up a nasty injury. When they beat Ireland in Dublin after losing in Chicago,Ireland had to replace 3 players before halftime if memory serves me correctly. One was an awful late hit.

Hard to grasp Gatland bringing in these Welsh/Scots for the mid-week games and then not using them. If he couldn't foresee the negative reaction it would cause someone should have told him. As it is he made things worse by only using them if he had to, and flogging to death some players by playing them for 80 minutes a few days before a test match. At least he took Lawes off but Henderson on that form should at least be in the 23.

JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 1 Billion for NI for the DUP votes - 100K per > vote. > > This magic money tree is good :) I've heard it referred to more than once though I can't remember it name. Is it not the case that money dished out to the regions is done based on some formula? Meaning if NI gets so much Wales, Scotland and maybe one or other areas have to get a payout too and in each case larger than what NI gets.
