  1. I think last season WH suffered by being on a much larger pitch than they were used to. I imagine the only thing that stopped them reducing the size of the pitch was because the nearest fans would be about three miles away if they did.......☺
  2. Plenty of stadia cater for more than one sport. The Aviva in Dublin for one where both football and rugby are played, sometimes within a couple of days of each other. Hull I think, football and rugby league. I don't think it's that difficult and if it suits Spurs I'm sure they will do it. Unless there is something in their agreement with Wembley to stop them.

Even if that's the case re. the pitch, I presume there is no reason they can't reduce it's size to that of WHL.
  4. Thanks RD. May that leaderboard look the same come May!

  6. Tried the MAC last night and the log on screen did appear after the apple logo, but not for long. However it seems to me the battery is almost dead and recharging it didn't appear to have much effect, though maybe need to leave it longer. I don't know if this is good or bad news. Anyone know an expert? I've tried to contact a Mark who had rave postings on the Forum some time ago and saw the reviews of Netquest. Don't know if the latter still does repairs.

  8. Do Netquest actually do repairs? You wouldn't know it from the website.

This is all so vague. Wonder how will my EU passport holding wife and son will be affected? She's lived here 30 years and he was born here. I've also read somewhere that the implementation of the technology to deal with the end of FOM will take a lot longer than 2 years.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-40774251 Free movement to end in March 2019. Is this the PM trying to put Hammond in his place? When will the Conservatives understand the mess they have caused and that this isn't about playing party games anymore? Have they even a plan for the Irish border?
  11. Nah. Just cool air and no UG.

At this stage I can only see, Brexit or no Brexit, that there will be (un)civil unrest, for differing reasons. After that a good chance that the UK will break up.
  13. Thanks for the input everyone. That rice idea is found on various MAC forums I've looked at. MAC currently being fanned and has been for hours. Did try it a while ago and start up sounded normal, the Apple logo put in a brief appearance but that was all. Turned it off hoping more time might do the trick.

Good read from the NY Times. Well not 'good'. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/28/opinion/dunkirk-christopher-nolan-brexit.html
  15. My better half has spilt something on her MAC. Not a lot of liquid it seems, but it isn't working. Apart from drying it out, what are its chances of surviving?

What about the special arrangement between the UK & the ROI? It's been in place since 1949 I think. It meant that I was from the only EU country outside the UK with a vote in the referendum. I can come and go as I please between the two countries. Which 'legal issues' are you referring to which might stop that or even extend it to all EU passport holders.

Are you serious? Would you like to say what your source is for this? I suppose it hasn't occurred to you the only people who could answer that question are the UK authorities, as they will be making the rules up.
  20. Yes. Well done both.
  21. Foxy is probably busy emailing some photo's to her......
  22. You're mad Sue? I'd never have guessed. You seem so sensible.
