  1. Aren't baby massage and similar activites held in the morning (and upstairs out of the way of others)? Isn't that a little early for wine? Everyone likes a bit of cake surely :). Mums (new and experienced) are very entitled to a seat at a pub/wine bar/brasserie/cake cafe just like 'normal' people.....
  2. Hi there I am looking for a piano teacher for my 7yo daughter and 8yo son who are both complete beginners but have shown a keen interest to learn. We have a large keyboard suitable for learning. We live in Crofton Park, SE4. If anyone can recommend a reasonably priced piano teacher who will travel to us, please do get in touch. Thanks!
  3. Thank you so much for this. I have made contact through her website so hopefully I will hear from her soon. Thanks again!
  4. I have been a business owner for the past five years. What once started off as a hobby has grown into a lucrative business with so much more potential for growth. However, I am at a crossroads on how to move the business forward and would like some good, sound advice from a knowledgeable advisor. Can anyone recommend a Business Advisor/Mentor or Coach they have themselves used? I work in the pre-school and entertainment market. Many thanks
  5. My 3 bed semi detached in SE4 (7 mins walk to Honor Oak Park station and 7 mins walk to Crofton Park station) will be going on the market for around ?350,000 in the next few months. Garage, conservatory, summer house at the end of the garden and office space in the loft (which cannot be advertised as an extra room due to height restrictions). The rooms aren't huge but they all qualify as double rooms. I believe most of the houses around here go for a similar price and go fairly quickly because of Stillness primary school.
  6. We are hoping to move to Kent also...the usual reasons, value for money, good choice of local schools, space etc. I like Bromley and Orpington as they are not too far out but we are looking for a house to completely renovate to make it worth our while. FWIW, in the next three months, we are planning on putting our lovely 3 bed semi in Crofton Park on the market if anyone is interested :). Walking distance from Stillness Primary School, Honor Oak Park station, Crofton Park station and Catford Bridge station (between 6 and 10 mins walk).
  7. I follow @tippee_toes who run music and play classes in ED for families with under 5s and soft play hire for parties etc
  8. Hi there Does anyone have an email address for this creche? I have found a contact number on this forum but unable to get an email address and I have tried googling. Many thanks in advance. Livvy
  9. ?8?? What is included in that apart from playing with toys?
  10. Hi - does anyone know a good place to buy a child's sari? My daughter is five and her school is celebrating black history month and will be showcasing culture clothing and my daughter has a real desire to wear a sari. Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks
  11. Tippee Toes runs a music session on a Tuesday morning at 10am followed by a play and stay session at All Fired Up cafe. ?3 drop in.
  12. Hi - my son would like to take a small group of friends and go for go-karting on his 7th birthday. Unfortunately, the Streatham site is closing down (so the website says) and I am unable to find another venue that caters for children under 8 years. Does anyone have any ideas on other venues? Many thanks in advance. Livvy.
  13. Ooh, sounds good. Do let me know where it is, my six year old would love to give it a try. Thanks
  14. Sorry, we've also done Parkdean too - very similar to Butlins (I thought). Thank you.
  15. Hi everyone Looking for somewhere for one week to take my young family - we have done Centre Parcs several times before and loved it but wanted to try somewhere different and of similar quality. Not Butlins or Pontins - both already done. Many thanks Livvy
  16. Brilliant, thank you so much for your replies, massively helpful. I am on the case!
  17. I hope some of you can help or point me in the right direction - I'm feeling very lost! I want to take my young family and leave the surrounding areas of ED and move out of London. I want to be no more than an hour away to get back into London in a town or village with good schools and affordable housing. We have a budget of ?300k and looking for a semi or detached, 3 or 4 bed. An area with 'character' would be lovely. Am I asking the impossible? Can anyone point me in the right direction to help on this quest? Thanks in advance. Livvy
  18. Wow, some deep views here, as well as constructive...really enjoyed reading them, thank you so much for replying. It has given me much food for thought!
  19. He's near the church on Goodrich Road.....
  20. My elderly father had two of his car tyres slashed on Goodrich Road on Friday night/Saturday morning. He's pretty sure he didn't pee anyone off but judging by these posts, seems it was a pointless act by some random person. Oh boy.....
  21. A long shot but does anyone know anything about Church Langley or other parts of Harlow in Essex? Thinking of moving there with my young children for a few reasons but we don't know the area too well at the moment. Obviously planning on taking several visits and speaking to estate agents and the locals etc but your opinion would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
