Yes. As a tradesman you have to pay for membership of the site on a monthly basis and then pay for the leads generated with no guarantee of actually getting the work and it aint cheap either. As a customer you are more likely to get a tradesman from a larger company as they can employ someone to sit and go through all the job requests that come in and then cherry pick the best ones.
