  1. Agree Jah. People quickly forget that when Fergie had to rebuild an aging post Treble squad (signed Rooney and Ronaldo), Utd went 3 years without winning the league while the new players and syatem bedded in. IMO we're still one CB and CM short...

The annoying thing about last night was that it took the gloss of what was a real statement signing of Di Maria. AQm is right, the club just need a win, therefore the team selection was baffling, many who played last night probably won't even be at the club this time next week. It will be 'interesting' to see if LVG persists with the 3 at the back, if so where does ADM play, wing back? Personally the current CBs aren't good enough ball players to play that system. MOTD highlighted how none of them looked comfortable coming out with the ball despite the acres of space in front of them. Hopefully he'll revert to a flat back four with wingers, the United way, but I'm not holding my breath...
  3. Nice one Blue, that shows perfectly how consistently poor your attendances were despite what division you were in...thanks! :)

  6. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Anyway, the real test is when Spurs play > a halfway decent team. I don't think that's holds true anymore. The PL is far more competitive than it used to be. If a team is going for the Championship then I agree they have to beat, or at least not lose to the other challengers, but as Chelsea found out last season, it's just as important to not drop points against the so called lesser teams...
  7. Good to see 'arry getting a warm reception from the Spurs fans. Also good to see Lamela showing his talent. Couldn't have been easy having such a big price tag and moving to a new country at such a young age. Having a fellow Argentinian as manager has obviously helped. Sherwood didn't strike me as the 'arm around the shoulder' type...

Can't argue with what Scholes says, LVG said straight away that the squad is unbalanced, too many No.9s and 10s. Defensive midfield has been neglected for perhaps 4 to 5 years. Not sure it will even get addressed this transfer window. Vidal would be perfect but hard to shift from Juve, Strootman at Roma too, but he's coming bck from a bad knee injury, could be a January buy with de Jong as a stop gap. Roja is a good buy but we could still do with a.n.other CB. Although it would be sad to see local lad Welbeck leave, he will probably benefit playing regular football elsewhere. Di Maria would be some upgrade though...
  11. Go for a dark grey suit as opposed to black, you'll get more wear out of it in the future, and it will take coloured shirts better. I don't see why you couldn't have, say, a very pale blue shirt with a darkish tie and avoid black all together...

  13. Agree, esp if they sell Borini for ?14m. Long went for ?12m, and Fulham paid ?11m for Leeds' striker Ross McCormack!...

  22. The main reason most people change to a Megaflow is the loss of pressure issue if more than one hot water tap/shower is in use. If you're happy that your current boiler does a similar job I don't see why you would need to change it. I think the noise issue is a red herring, how often would someone actually go to the loo in the middle of the night?...
  23. Will have to update above post, just realised it doesn't include Chelsea's result...
  24. Week 1 results...Girl power!
