I heard that both Cech and Terry will be out for the season, Terry may make CL final if they get there. 0-0 is a dangerous result for Chelsea, Athletico like to sit back and break, so I think they will score at the Bridge. Also heard that Bale is out tonight with 'flu, shame, was looking forward to seeing his pace against Bayern's high line defence...

Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes - maybe he will have to work again RD, when MU > stop paying him in 2019. ;) One theory for the timing of his sacking Mick is that there was a break clause that could be triggered if Utd didn't qualify for the CL. This coincided with the Everton defeat. Apparently a rep of the LMA is at OT discussing his severence package, he'll do well to get ?10m...

But joking aside, it does make you wonder why he got the Utd job, he wasn't known for open, attacking football. Maybe Fergie thought he would adapt to Utd???...

At many other clubs he would've gone by Christmas RC. To go from winning the PL by 11 points to a distant 7th place, not even qualifying for Europe (hopefully) isn't normal...

You've changed your tune on LVG ;-) I agree that Klopp is unlikely, it's a preference rather than a prediction. I wouldn't say no chance though. Maybe he thinks he's taken Dortmund as far as he can. It can't be good for morale to see his best players leave for their main rivals. With regards to the Barca job, a lot of potential candidates will be put off by their transfer embargo. A new manager will usually want new players. I expect Giggs will be a stand-in, but surely no more. We need proven managerial experience. Great players don't always make great managers....

Jurgen Klopp, manager of Borrussia Dortmund innit...

We've actually got worse since then, the performances against Olympiakos (away), and Liverpool and City at home were especially dire. Yesterday was just as bad, and when he came out and said he thought our passing game was brilliant...well, it was only a matter of time

LVG has probably agreed a deal in principle with Spurs that is just waiting to be signed. I'm not sure LVG is the right manager for us though. He's definitely got the experience and stature for the job, but with the expected rebuild I would've thought they would get someone younger. LVG will also be preoccupied with the WC, we need someone to hit the ground running, get players signed before the WC even starts, we can't waste another summer transfer window. Not sure how LVG can commit until after the WC. My vote would go for Klopp...

I did my predictions on Thurs before the Easter break and noticed that they had the Chelsea game down as being played on the Sunday, not Sat pm, didn't think it was a big problem and just did my predictions as normal. Having read AqM's post I can now see how someone may have taken advantage e.g. wait until the game had been played on Sat pm, then enter in the final score and pick up 3 easy points. When was it rectified AqM, after the game? Here's my prediction for any doubters out there...

Yet another record tumbles to the genius that is David Moyes. In his post match interview he thought the team played well, which as Jamie Carragher said, is worrying...''I must have been watching a different match'' What Atticus said about 'pool, although I think there is at least one more twist in the tale. Would like to see Everton get in the CL, but can't see Arsenal dropping any more points...

Chelsea got lucky when they were given a penalty in their home game against West Brom, these decisions tend to even themselves out over a season, although I don't think Steve Clarke will think that. BFS is the guest on Sky's Goals on Sunday programme. More irony. I'm surprised no journalist has ever let slip a BFS during an interview...''So Big Fat Sam, welcome to the programme, what did you think of the game yesterday?...''
