Greater Manchester Police have just announced that a 'no-fly zone' has been put in place over Old Trafford. Chief Spokesman Robin Banks advised that the police have still not accounted for the whereabouts of a football last seen leaving the stadium during a match versus Sunderland in the Capital One Cup, and therefore can not guarantee the safety of any low flying aircraft.

Supporters should support the team during the game and if they want to show any disapproval, do it after the final whistle. Even then, they should at least wait until we're out of the CL and the season is over...

Now don't go and ruin it all by appointing Malky Mackay...

  8. Thanks for posting Jah. According to the Premier League's CEO, Utd's troubles are now affecting the global appeal of the Premier League, so the sooner this is nipped in the bud, the better for football as a whole...
  9. That was David Trezeguet, lost on away goals...

Actually they did. He signed in 2008 and was only made captain in the 2011/12 season. I can't think off the top of my head where someone has been signed and made captain immediately. If it's happened it's the exception, not the rule. The role of captain isn't given to the best player, but to the best leader, both on and off the field. He's an ambassador for the club. A player needs time at his current club to prove those qualities...
  11. Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!...I hate you Cowboy, can't you forget for one week?! Week 27 points... Week 27 table...
  12. I was just about to say that Jah, he looks totally disinterested. I don't think making a new signing the captain is a good move any way, surely that right has to be earnt...
  13. Sounds promising Mick. I'm getting goose bumps too at all that lovely lolly ST is going to win for me this year :)
  14. For the first time, Liverpool showed nerves and edginess tonight. Still got your fingernails Ots? :) I see BFS was given the bird by the West Ham fans at the end of the match. I know the Hammers fans on here don't think it will happen, but I reckon he will go despite the club staying up. A new manager for a new era at the OS etc...
  15. Can we talk about something else please? How about Everton making a late charge for 4th place? A game in hand over Arsenal, who play City this weekend, and then have to go to Goodison. Could get very interesting. And what a great goal from Berkley last night. How did Moyes not see his talent is beyond me...knew it wouldn't last long :)
  16. Maybe Fergie's thinking was that any new manager should rebuild the team in his own image...where've I've heard that before?! RVP was a vanity signing, definitely not a long term signing, but it worked. I only wish Moyes had done something similar last summer...
  17. Just heard on the radio... ''Giving Moyes Mata is like giving my Nan a smartphone'' :)

I'm no fan of Mourinho but he would've handled all that...

I think he will be sacked if the fans turn against him, and there are signs that this is now happening. I take your point, but surely Fergie should've had some say in who the next manager would be? None of the Glazers are fit enough to make that decision, and the new CEO had been working in the commercial side of the club. The mistake was not having a proper shortlist, say Moyes and 2 others, who were then properly interviewed and judged on their merits and suitability...
  20. Chelsea for me...by default :)

The players are not blameless, but ultimately it comes down to the manager and his motivational and tactical skils. So far Moyes has failed to impress on both accounts. Most fans were willing to give him time and this summer's transfer window, but with the recent abject performances against Olympiakos away, Liverpool and now City, fans are now questioning can he be trusted to spend the reported ?100m+ summer warchest. He's already bought 2 players, but continually plays them out of the positions they excelled in at their previous clubs. One of them, Fellaini, shouldn't have even been bought in the first place. If as expected we get tonked by Bayern, Moyes will do well to keep his job...

  24. You probably won't get a better chance Ots. Next season you will definitely be in the CL, and unless you beef up your squad substantially over the summer, I can't see you having such a good season again. But whatever happens this season, both yourselves and Arsenal have had good seasons PL wise. I'm with Jah on the EL, I don't care if some fans think it's disrespecting the competition, I don't want Utd in it. Hands off Jah, 8th place is ours!...
  25. I watched bits of that match, Derby played some nice stuff, the Wally with the Brolly returneth...
